I have been using the Kingston Data Traveler for about 3 years. This time I got two (2) 16GB jump drives. The quality is very much there and has been consistently excellent for the time I have used them. I have had absolutely no problems with any PC computer "recognizing" these USB devices the first time they are inserted. Kingston DataTraveler 16 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive DTI/16GB
This drive has worked without problem for the month I've owned it. I use it for backup of documents and some Utility programs and it gives me a handy way to carry these files to other computers. I would have rated it a 5 if it were a little faster although, for my needs the speed is adequate, the price is great.
I have 1 GB Kingston DataTraveler which has worked reliably for a long time. The only problem was getting the right software to use it on a Win98 computer - XP computers do not require any extra software.
Regarding the cap which some reviews think is a negative, I disagree. I've never lost one - you can after all put it on the back of the drive. It keeps the business end fully protected when not in use or in my pocket and it does not have the potential mechanical problems that might develop with the retractable design.
