Digital camera reviews of Kingston ValueRAM 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 Non-ECC CL5 DIMM (Kit of 2) -RetailDigital camera Review: You Get What You Pay For Summary: 1 Stars
I bought Kingston's ValeuRam about 3 months ago and it worked great...for 2.9 months: Then, the "ValueRam" corrupted my hard drive and cost me many hours of downtime and IT support (yes, an IT professional confirmed that Kingston's RAM was the problem). For those of you who are not familiar with computers, once the RAM is corrupted, it begins sending corrupted info. to the hard drive...garbage in, garbage out.
After spending $200 for IT support and losing 4 days on my PC, I invested in a much more expensive set of RAM cards.
BTW, Kingston has a lifetime warranty but the process takes a LONG time and the customer is responsible for the shipping cost.
Digital camera Review: You Need These To Run Vista Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these to upgrade a new HP Slimline PC I'd recently purchased. The PC came with 1GB RAM installed and Vista was hogging 70% of it slowing down everything.
In my opinion, DIMMs are DIMMs but it was nice to have that lifetime warranty on top of the great price.
Installation was simple and the PC runs SO MUCH BETTER!
If you are going to run Vista, and you want a pleasant experience, you simply must have 2GB of RAM!
