Digital camera reviews of Klipsch IMAGE S4 In-Ear Enhanced Bass Noise-Isolating Headphones (Black)Digital camera Review: Amazing value and quality Summary: 5 Stars
After seeing a glowing review of the new Image S4 headphones on Cnet, I had to dive in and purchase the day of release from Amazon. I have Bose In-ear headphones and these just flat out blow those away. At $75.00 I cannot imagine that anything can compare to this sound quality. The sound is incredibly well balanced and the fit and comfort is perfect.
Positives:
1) Price/Sound Quality Ratio. Great full sound with excellent bass, but not too deep like the Bose. Great mid and high level's excellent for all different types of music.
2) Comfort: They come with a case and several different sizes of in ear plastic. The Bose headphones had plastic that came off all the time and if you lost them, you would have to find replacements. These will not come off unless you want them too. They feel good in your ear and comfortable.
3) Noise Isolation: Indeed these do an excellent job of isolating outside noise based upon the precise fit of the ear pieces.
4) Cord length: The cord is the perfect length for me. Not too long, not too short. The Bose headphones have a cord that is just too long and cumbersome.
Negatives:
1) Not really a true negative, but if you are not looking for a sound isolating headphone, do not purchase these. I walk the dog outside quite a bit and have a hard time hearing things around me like traffic or trail runners, which at times can be dangerous. Just something to think about.
If you are looking at purchasing a replacement for a lost or broken pair of iPod headphones, save your money and purchase these. The difference in sound quality between these and stock headphones is clear and vast. I really liked the Bose in ear headphones when they were first released, but these just flat blow those out of the water for overall balanced sound quality and comfort.
Digital camera Review: Amazing! Summary: 5 Stars
I consider myself a newbie audiophile, it all started when I got my first pair of Bose Triports; the immediate leap in sound quality completely blew me away. For a long time I didn't think headphones could get any better.
When they finally broke, I was going to just buy another pair, after all why mess with success? However, I started reading about these headphones online. I was apprehensive at first...after all I had never heard of this company before, I couldn't know for sure if these lived up to the hype.
I decided to just take the plunge and buy them, and I gotta say...that feeling I had when I first used my Triports...I got that same feeling when i first got these. The bass is much richer and deeper, the mids and highs are clean and crisp. I'm not sure if it's the seal or the build, but these blow my old Triports out of the water in every way. They're cheaper, louder, and the sound is simply amazing. Bose just lost another customer to Klipsch.
Digital camera Review: Amazingly good in ear headphones! Summary: 5 Stars
I've had these headphones for more than 6 months now and use them everyday. I simply don't have a single bad comment. They are easily one of the best headphones I've ever used.
-The fit it perfect. After selecting the proper size ear tips, they comfortably and securely seal inside my ears and remain in position even when walking or turning my head fully left or right.
-The entire unit is very well designed and provides very good durability. I've accidentally banged the ear pieces against chairs and other hard objects and not only do they operate without a single problem, the outsides aren't even scratched. And after wrapping the cord and storing it overnight, night after night, it still unwinds straight. The stress relief housing connecting the jack to the cord has a 90 degree bend to ensure the cord does not shear over time. Klipsch has truly put every feature needed and wanted into the design and made it with great quality.
-The sound is phenomenal. I've used the equalizer in VLC media player to test highs and lows and I am simply amazed how well these headphones reach the absolute highest and lowest frequencies with such clarity. And even with the equalizer set flat across, the sound is still great. It feels like you're truly listening to 5.1 surround. And they also perform well at the highest volumes which I tested using VLC's pre-amp feature.
I concur completely with Cnet editors rating this headphone as one of the top 5 overall. I haven't tried the others and don't need to since I'm beyond satisfied with these.
When I need to buy another headphone, which doesn't look like anytime soon thanks to these, I will go with Klipsch again.
For once, a product that actually is better than advertised!
Digital camera Review: An OK phone, nothing less nothing more Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this phones last week and have been using them for a couple of days now. they are not half bad but for what i paid and for all the good reviews i heard about this modal i expected to be WOWed, i was disappointed it didn't happen.
i'll start with the bad:
Maybe i just have really small ears because even the smallest ear plugs that came with the phones even though they entered my ear cannel they were not very comfortable and my inner ear started hurting after awhile. luckily for me i have yet to throw away my old phones "Etymotic Research ER6i Isolator In-Ear Earphones (Black)" (which i really loved but my cat destroyed) so i just changed the plugs and behold my ears don't hurt much anymore- so if you have really small ears skip this phones and go with my previous ones.
outter sound isolation. when the music is on yea you can't hear anything else, but i like my phones to completely isolate everything even when the music is off.
the good:
sound, great sound i'm no music expert and i'm sure that there are probably much better phone out there, but for it's price these are really good.
the case, which was one of the reasons i bought this phones, perfect if you have a pet who seems to have some personal enjoyment in ruining every headphone set you buy :-/.
over all they're not half bad. but i expected more then i got.
Digital camera Review: Audiophile equipment for $79.00 wow Summary: 5 Stars
I was one of those HiFi nuts back in the day years ago. I spent too much money that I could have used better.
Lately I've been quite content with the mp3 era - tons of music to obtain for $1.00 per song (or if you are too poor or too cheap, for free!) There are mp3 players, decent sound cards, and terrific computer speakers selling for less than $30. That leaves money leftover for more important things, such as for charity, family, etc. Afterall, music has a spiritual foundation, i would say.
I'll make it simple.
Buy these headphones.
Klipsch is an old company that has been in the speaker business ever since i can remember.
Note, if you have the Ipod Shuffle, 3rd Generation, do not get the (i) version, with the 3 button control if you work out and sweat. They will short out. The solution for me is an adapter that plugs in near the player and out of the way of moisture. Some of the adapters are junk but I found one that's holding up after getting a replacement.
