Digital camera Review: "Best" iPhone Earbuds I've Found

I have tried several different brands of earbuds for the iPhone. The v-mode were the best sounding to me, but suffered horrible build quality. I returned three different pair before giving up on them. They all developed a short right above the jack after only a couple months of use. This is in spite of a jack redesign by v-mode. It was disappointing because they really sound fantastic.
I've also tried the waaaay overpriced Shure SE530s. The bass was horrible (and yes, I know you have to have them inserted well into your ear) and they had ridiculously thick and stiff cabling that often stuck out while hanging down. It didn't lay nicely at all. In spite of the extra heft, they too developed a short after just four or five months of use.
I also bought a pair of the radius, that weren't bad for the price, but didn't sound great and also had wiring problems only a couple months into their use. The cabling started separating from the mic, leaving exposed wires.
Finally, I came across the Klipsch. I've been using them for 6 months and have had no issues with them. The sound quality is fantastic. Not as great as the v-mode in my opinion, but plenty good enough for the noisy environments in which their used. To my ear, the bass was a bit tighter and deeper on the v-mode, but there's still plenty in the Klipsch. It has incredibly thin and flexible wiring that I didn't think would last 2 weeks, but in reality has been impressively durable. Hands-down, they have the best in-line audio/phone control of any buds I've come across. The positioning is right and it is very easy to tell which of the three buttons you are hitting by touch. Call quality of the mic is also impressive. I've never had a complaint that someone couldn't hear me over background noise.
These headphones also work perfectly with the iPad. I use them all the time with the GoToMeeting app. TV / Movie sound is awesome too.
I like them so well that I've bought a backup pair in case I ever lose or damage my current set.
I cannot recommend them highly enough. I hope this saves someone the time and frustration I've been through finding the "right" pair of iPhone earbuds. :)
