Digital camera Review: A very good product, though I had hoped for a bit more

I'm giving this product five stars despite some mild disappointment on my part. Probably like a lot of folks I have been frustrated at not being able to play my iPod over anything other than my earphones. So I got this so that I could listen to music without using my noise isolating earphones. For one thing, I wanted to be able to hear phone calls or hear the door bell ring.
The only problem with this unit is probably my expectations. I was hoping for a unit that would sound nearly as good over the small speakers as it does over my earphones. It doesn't. But that really says more about what I was hoping for rather than what was reasonable. The fact is that the iGroove provides great sound at a relatively small price. Does it rival the sound of a speaker system with a subwoofer? Absolutely not. But for its size it provides quite a wallop.
On the upside this is a very attractive unit and takes up very, very little space on my desk. And it is incredibly easy to use. I come home, take off my earphones, pop my iPod into my iGroove, and go about my business.
My one real complaint is with the remote. The remote is, to be honest, almost useless. The only real use would be if you were sitting a few feet away and wanted to make minimal adjustments. But you can't use it to choose what you listen to apart from skipping to the next song or scooting back to the previous. In fact, I find that I use the iPod wheel instead of the remote.
I definitely recommend this for anyone who wants an easy and convenient way to listen to their iPod over speakers.

I heard this speaker system at a big box electronics store and was impressed. It was the next best thing to a Bose -- great sound, half the price. I asked if it would be compatible with my iPod. The employee said yes, and online reviews from reputable sources verified it, so I put the Klipsch iGroove SXT on my Christmas list. Well, when I tried my Christmas present yesterday, there were two problems. The unit powered on, but nothing I could do would coax the speakers to produce any sound. But that quickly became a moot point when I found out that it wasn't compatible with my 2nd generation Touch. The Klipsch folks say that this unit will play a 2nd generation Touch (theoretically -- I cannot verify this by personal experience since my unit appeared to be a lemon), but it won't charge the Touch while playing. As I understand it, Apple recently changed the charging on its newly-released iPods to pure USB rather than a USB/Firewire hybrid. This means that, at the moment, there are few speakers available that will charge the latest iPods while you listen. Too bad this news has been so slow in getting out. Until the manufacturers catch up to Apple's latest and there are more options, you might best be served saving your hard-earned cash and just using headphones.Digital camera Review: Amazing sound quality

When you get this you will not have very high hopes of good sound quality because of its small size. You will be amazed at the sound quality once you start listening! Very crisp sound and amazing base for such a small package. It would be nice if it had some additional features, but I didn't buy it for any of that. I bought this for work. I'm a Dementia nurse and music is the best "drug" for my patients. The sound from this machine is exceptional. I have my Bose dock at home and I'm not sure which one I prefer.
Just the other day a very confused resident ..... stopped for a moment ..... looked up and said, "Oh my that's beautiful music." Well worth the money.
