Digital camera reviews of Kodak EasyShare C180 10.2MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and 2.4 inch LCD - RedDigital camera Review: Malfunctioned After 5 Months Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this due to a lot of stellar reviews on here. People raved how easy it was and the only draw back seemed to be the battery life. And yes, the battery life is absolutely TERRIBLE, not even allowing me 4 hours of use before flaking out, powering down and NOT allowing me to turn the camera back on (we are talking BRAND SPANKING NEW BATTERIES here!). But even worse than THAT, I just bought this camera in February and just this past week, my camera has COMPLETELY malfunctioned; I can not use it at all (I did not drop it or misuse it). I wouldn't waste my money on this camera again. Yeah, the photos are decent and the share factor is kinda cool, but the negative FAR outweight the positive on this product. Buyer beware!!!
Digital camera Review: More Of A Review Of The Reviews Summary: 5 Stars
Buying a digital camera is quite hard I'm finding out. I've used one in the past that was a canon I believe and it got a lens error very quickly. Well my mom was going to get me another one as a late b-day present and I came across this one which not only has a great color but is supposed to have high res photos, do video clips AND shoots black and white which are very big turn on's for me. Not that I hate shooting color because I don't.
The problem is the more I read reviews, the more I'm questioning why so many of them gave this a 3 or 4 star rating when their reviews said it sucked. For ppl like me who just want to take a clear photo and will never end up being professional photographers, the 3 and 4 start reviews on a camera they think is crap is very confusing for those of us are searching and searching for a good one who look at these review stars and think it is when it's not.
So if anything I just want to let ppl know that if you don't like your camera, please give it the 1 star review so more ppl know to avoid it.
Digital camera Review: NICE Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great little camera for the price. It's small enough (thin) to carry along and tuck in all sorts of small places. Easy to download the Kodak Easy Share Software. Takes great pictures.
Digital camera Review: Nice general purpose camera Summary: 4 Stars
This camera is great for those of us who are not very technologically inclined. I gave the Easyshare as a Valentine's Day gift for my fiance. He (and I!) has had a lot of fun taking pictures using the different settings, which is my favorite part of the camera. For example, "up close" is for extreme close ups without blurriness, "sport" for fast movement capture and "backlight" for backlit pictures. The night settings are great, like "extreme low light", "night landscape", and "night portrait". It even has individual settings for capturing fireworks, sunsets, sunny beaches and flowers.... interesting.
Truth be told I've never owned a digital camera before, so I'm sure there are better quality cameras out there. But for our general use needs and for the price it's great. Its a decent size overall and the picture display is easy to see.
The EasyShare software is simple to use to edit pics as well as make cards and other picture items. I haven't tried the "share" function yet for uploading to youtube, but I'll try it when I've taken some video clips on the camera.
Overall the Kodak EasyShare is a good general use camera with a nice amount of bells and whistles. Its a great value for the price.
::UPDATE::
If you buy this camera, get rechargeable batteries, because the camera sucks the power dry within an hour or so of use.
Digital camera Review: No Card, No instructions booklet, very very low internal memory Summary: 1 Stars
No Card, No instructions booklet, very very low internal memory. I bought it, took it to an even, and could not use it. Seller did not offer a card to me. Even my cheapie HP and Take-It digital cameras came with cards.
I returned the item.
