I like the new c180 camera from Kodak. I needed a new point and shoot, and for the money, this one does the job fine. Love the 10 MP quality images. The only con I can think of is that the auto focus is a bit slow (almost nonexistent in low light situations). I'm not going to complain too loudly though. I bought a Kodak Easyshare C180 camera as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter and was "out of the box bad". Put the Kodak Alkaline batteries in it that came with the camera, took about three pictures and the batteries were bad. We replaced the batteries with new Duracell Alkaline batteries, took a few more pictures and the new batteries were bad. Tried this a few more times in denial that a brand new Kodak camera would be bad.
Contacted Kodak and was instructed to send the camera to their repair center in Conneticut and it could be repaired or be replaced with a refurbished one. The repair service sent the camera back and it was just as bad as when I sent it. The repair service told me it was because I used alkaline batteries and I should buy rechargeable batteries and a charger. Why would Kodak send the camera with alkaline batteries if they didn't work? Kodak's website indicated if you use alkaline batteries you should get between 30-70 pictures, and of course we got no where near that, maybe 5 at the most. Even if the camera was not in use, it was draining the batteries. It is obvious that the camera is drawing more current than the batteries can hold. The repair center told me to basically live with the problem. After indicating the world was going to come to an end for their reputation by way of the internet, they called back to say they would send me rechargeable batteries and a charger and if that didn't work, to call them back. I most likely will be calling back.
So I have paid for brand new batteries that lasted no more than five minutes to test the camera, UPS charges to return the camera and am no closer to solving the problem.
Today I am going out to buy a Sony camera because I think my graddaughter has waited long enough for her Christmas gift. I would strongly suggest anyone considering buying this camera to reconsider.

I should have read all the reviews and info before purchasing. My question is 'is it possible to upload to my computer without going to online and you tube?' I don't care to share online and you tube just to my family and friends through e-mail. You probably can tell I know nothing about cameras,just wanted something better than my cell phone camera I like this already and really don't want to get rid of it, but I'm not interested in sharing online. I dropped by Easyshare DX7440 so I had to get something real quick while I get the other repaired. The features were not quite the same, but if you read the instructions first instead of thinking you know what you're doing, you will find this to be a great camera for the price.
