Digital camera Review: Takes some time to figure out what mode to use for lighting

This camera is pretty good overall. The batteries that came with it died after taking just a few pictures. We put new, name-brand batteries in so hopefully we won't see the same results, if so that really sucks. It is pretty intuitive to use, we didn't have to read the directions. I think it's going to take a while to figure out exactly what setting to use for each situation. I took a bunch of pictures of fireworks on New-Years without realizing there was a "Fireworks" mode. Overall it's a pretty good camera, nice and compact, turns on quickly and really takes great outdoor-daytime pictures.Digital camera Review: Terrible Picture Quality!!

This camera takes terrible pictures!!! I purchased it because I make the school's yearbook, and it's useless! If I use the "auto" setting to get enough light in the pictures, the people are grainy or blurry. If I use the "action" setting to reduce the blur, then the pictures are underexposed. In some situations, these amorphous white dots of light just appear in the pictures.
I have tried every setting available and nothing helps. I have missed so many cute shots that would have been wonderful and cannot be reproduced this year.
Having bought a Kodak Easyshare C model years ago, which took AMAZING pictures and just flat wore out, I thought this one would do the same...big mistake. Do NOT buy this camera!

I am currently retired from graphic design and photostyling for catalogs, I found the C180 to be a camera I wish I'd had ten years ago. I was amazed to find it has so many settings (it has ISO as well as many other settings for the most fun and practicality.) It also takes videos.
I took it on vacation with me and made some pretty special videos as well as stills. I recommend this to anyone.
