Digital camera Review: The best low-self-discharge AAA cells I have found so far! However....

I have tested several brands of low-self-discharge AAA cells before, including the better-known SANYO eneloop, Rayovac Hybrid, and Duracell Pre Charged. They have all performed very well. But now, the Kodak Pre-Charged AAA has beaten them all!
I recently found those Kodak cell at my local W*mart, and grabbed the last few packs available. I then measured the capacity of four cells, using the Discharge/Refresh function on my La Crosse BC-900 Battery Charger:
- The first discharge cycle gave an average capacity of 739mAh (+/- 20mAh)
- After recharging those cells, the next discharge cycle yield an average capacity of 884mAh (+/- 20mAh).
So based on my test results, those Kodak cells have retained 84% of full capacity right out of package. In comparison, most of the Sanyo eneloop and Rayovac Hybrid cells retained only about 75% of full capacity when first tested.
The measured average capacity of Kodak AAA is 884mAh, slightly higher than the rated 850mAh. In comparison, the average capacity of Sanyo eneloop AAA measured is 833mA (rated at 800mAh), while Rayovac Hybrid is only 784mAh (rated 800mAh).
I do not have any long-term self discharge data for the Kodak AAA cells yet. But based my test data for the Kodak AA cells, I can expect it to perform better than the other brands of low-self-discharge cells.
So far, this Kodak Pre-Charged AAA 2-pack sounds like a great deal. However...
If you order this item from third-party vendors, watch out for outrageous shipping charges! Each of those Kodak AAA 2-pack weighs only 1.3 oz, but the 'shipping weight' is quoted as 2 pounds. That translates to paying extra $2 for every pack. I wish we can order this item directly from Amazon instead.

The anomaly with shipping weight for this item has been corrected. Still, it pays to be vigilant about shipping charges.

I have confirmed that 'Kodak Pre-Charged' cells are in fact rebranded GP ReCyko+ Pre-Charged Batteries. The latter can now be found at about 50% lower cost!
