This is a decent photo frame for the money. I bought it for my parents, who aren't terribly technology savvy, and for that I think it was a good choice. With a little guidance out of the gate, they won't have any problems. I was disappointed that there was no internal memory to transfer a photo to from a card, but wrote it off as getting what you pay for. The photos come up a bit fuzzy, but as mentioned, close ups look fine. Some of the transition options are pretty nice in the slide show.
PS- I've been cracking up a little bit at all the reviews that state they are taking it back because the touch screen doesn't work. It's not a touch screen. There is a thin strip around the border that is touch sensitive and brings up the on screen menu, but that menu itself is not touch screen. It's all operated by the strip around the screen. It's a touch BORDER. I admittedly made the same mistake at first, but then opened up the manual and on the first or second page it references the correct operation.
