I was deciding between these over-the-ear headphones and a Phillips brand one. After reading reviews from a boat load of audiophiles, entailing words I do not remotely comprehend, I decided these Koss headphones seem to be the best quality for under $20. Boy, were they right!! I expected these to be good, but these are freakin' amazing! I just tried them with my iPod, and it felt like I've been listening to music through a handful of gym socks until now. Like my music just woke up. Everything is crystal clear, the bass is awesome. There is no distortion. I truly CANNOT believe I waited this long to get headphones this good. I've been listening to music since I was in high school with any old earphones I could buy for under $20 and now I feel like I've been cheated out of this experience all my life. I'm telling you, these headphones are comparable to ones that cost well over the $50 mark. BUY THESE NOW.
**Some people might find these weird to put on, but you just slip in it in through the top of your ear (touching your scalp). After you slip it past behind your ear, the headphone should sit comfortably over your ear.

A little background on me, I'm a person who rarely ever buys headphones; I try to get the free ones that came with my ipod, computer, etc. and usually these are earbuds. I recently heard earbuds are bad for your ears, and also my earbuds kept breaking. I believe i had 6 pairs die on me in the past year (all free, of course, but including the ipod speakers). I purchased these headphones to replace them, mainly because of the lifetime warranty. Let me tell you, as soon as they came out of the package I was impressed. Incredibly low price and what you get is speakers that boom. While they of course don't have the incredible bass you can find in expensive speakers, I use these to work out and walk around my college campus and they have never fallen off. They also reduce ambient sound in the gym, which allows me to listen to them at a comfortable volume but I can still hear the bass booming (very helpful when running). Speaking of comfortable, I sometimes forget I'm wearing the headphones because they are so comfortable and look around for the music only to realize... Anyways, as for the negatives the clips do pop off very easily; I found putting a little duck tape over it will stop the clips from popping off. Unfortunately, I did lose one clip, and I called Koss and guess what? Sent me a new clip to my house for free. I purchased these headphones on the recommendation of a friend of mine who is into very high-end audio and video. He remembered seeing these demonstrated a year or so ago at a Head-fi convention [...] and said he was amazed at the great sound. I am personally not a fan of earbuds and do not like putting things directly inside my ear canal; plus I am somewhat concerned as to the safety of sound levels when doing so. I use these with an iPod Classic and listen to a variety of types of music. The sound quality is truly amazing! Deep bass, clean highs, and a full sound you normally would only expect from higher-priced units. After looking for a pair of decent headphones that wouldn't bust the bank I came across these. Based on all the hype and buzz I went out and bought a pair. In terms of sound, these are incredible. Extremely clear sound, you can hear the high and lows of everything, and extremely pleasant hearing. For the price offered, there is no doubt you're getting a bargain as these should begin at well over $50. There are only two minor complains I can find with it, both in the design. The open-eared design allows for quite a bit of bleed through. For traveling on a noisy bus, you have to crank up the volume quite a bit. In addition, the over the ear wired design can be a bit uncomfortable especially for extened use. (4+ hours for me.) If you need noise cancelling go for the Koss Spark Plug. If you need excellent sound, go for these.
