Digital camera reviews of Koss PortaPro Headphones with CaseDigital camera Review: Actually to listening to them while writing this review!! Summary: 4 Stars
I've had these headphones for nearly 5 months now. I must say they are capable of dishing out some superb sound. B.B. King's Live at the Regal with these badboys on is absolutely phenomenal. Like actually being there! I highly doubt you can buy headphones with this sound and portabilityness within this pricerange.
Only negative thing I have with them is that after extended use (2 hours plus) they do start to become exceptionally painful to the ears. They are too tight on the head, although there are some adjustments you can make with them to loosen them up.
One minor complaint can't prevent me from saying these things ROCK!
Digital camera Review: All the hype is true! Summary: 5 Stars
I just received my portapro headphones today, and all I could say is, they're the best headphones I've ever listened to. I've had sony, ipod earphones, and other brands of headphones, but none of them has matched up to this one. The sound quality is really good, and the bass blends in perfectly with the highs and lows. Listening to your music with these headphones makes your music sound very powerful. The headphones give a powerful energy to the music and indulges you into it.
Pros and Cons.
Pros.
Size doesn't mean anything. The portapros are pretty tiny for headphones, but its power and ability are not to be underestimated.
Sound quality is amazing.
Bass is blended in with midrange and treble pretty well.
Great price for such good headphones.
Quite portable and small, yet powerful and can play any song up to its full potential.
Plays your music with energy and strong elements.
Cons.
Looks kind of flimsy, though it may not be. I've heard it's actually very sturdy.
The 80's style might seem kind of awkward to wear in public, but that's subjective.
Overall, these headphones are definitely worth the price, and I love them! Best headphones I've ever had so far.
Digital camera Review: All the reviews on Amazon and Cnet were right! Summary: 5 Stars
After compensating spending a hundred dollars for the Sennheiser HD 555's I'm really thrilled with my choice. These headphones are incredibly comfortable and i love how compact they are. they seem very durable, as I constantly throw them in the outer pocket of my backpack when I tote it around. Plus, the sound quality is awesome for these headphones. If you've read other reviews the sound does leak some, but unless you're planning on deafening your ears, you should be fine. My only complaint was the travel case that the headphones came in. It was a nice leather pouch with a drawstring that seems like it will hold up, but the problem is that the pouch is slightly too small, where it's a hassle to get them in and out of the pouch. I don't bother with it. Overall, I would recommend these headphones to anyone who loves getting great value at a lesser price.

Unbeliveable (until you hear them) quality for the price!
I'm a musician but not much of an audiophile, tho I'd wager my hearing is slightly above average. The amount of richness (esp base) was surprising - i couldn't believe my laptop (usually very sub-par sound) and Rio Karma (as compared to the Sennheiser MX300 earbuds) could output such quality tones. My brother recommended these (he has perfect pitch and much better ears than me), as he uses these during his commute instead of his Grado SR 125's which were getting beat up and aren't nearly as comfortable as the Koss PortaPros. Though obviously not anywhere as 'elite' as Grados or Beyers, I find it impressive that these are an adequate replacement for his Grado's. Additionally, the tension adjustment is a really nice feature, and the cushioning arrangement works great for people who wear glasses. Additionally, they look really snazzy with the metallic blue accents.

I just purchased an ipod and really enjoy music so I wanted something much better than the earbuds that come with it. I began my research and read a number of reviews on various headphones. I also wanted to be able to use them on my home stereo. I read a number of reviews on Sennheiser, Grado, Koss, etc. There were pros and cons to all of them. However the Senn PX100 and Koss Portapro rated consistently well. I decided to go with the Koss Portapro. I was not disappointed. The Portapro sound very rich, with excellent bass and good response in the mid and high range too. Because the phones use a metal band, they can feel a bit tight on the head at first but they do loosen up after awhile (and are adjustable). The bottom line is that they sound awesome, and for the price you can't go wrong! Though I rated these 4 out of 5, now after a couple of months of use I would certainly rate them 5 stars.
