I ordered a pair of Sennheiser HD280 Pro's at the same time that I ordered these PortaPros. The PortaPros sound better, feel better, were cheaper, and more portable. If you demand a sound-isolating headphone, the HD280s are still a good choice. But, the PortaPros don't leak as much sound as my old Grado SR-60's. I learned the hard way that the SR-60's are really not a portable headphone. The cable is too long, and the sound leaking is serious. These PortaPros were the perfect answer. I'll keep it simple. They don't look like much, but the sound blew me away. For the money, I honestly can't imagine getting more. I actually went out of my way to write a review...they are that good. I did a lot of research online and in magazines before finding the perfect review source and settling on the PortaPro. Goodcans.com led me right to them. After following the Goodcans lead on an excellent full sized headphone for my home system, I next took their advice on the PortaPro for use with my MP3 player. These headphones cover the highs, lows and in between, better than anything I've heard in a portable headphone. Superb product. Sound quality CANNOT BE BEAT. Let me stress this again. AMAZING QUALITY.
Looks kinda retro. They're funky lookin, but they work well. Design is maybe not bomb proof, but the lifetime warranty solves any flimsiness issues.
Quite comfortable to wear. Adjustable tension is quite useful too. Sits nicely on your temples and ears.

Really great phones. Probably the best you can do for under $100. I'll still need earbuds for when i need ultra portability but these have way better sound.
