Digital camera reviews of LG BD 370 Network Blu-ray Disc Player

Digital camera Review: A very good blu-ray player
Summary: 5 Stars

This Blu-ray player is great. It loads fast, has great features such as Netflix streaming. I also have a LG plasma TV and I can control the most important video functions directly through my TV remote while keeping the solid doors of my entertainment center closed, where the blu-ray player is.

Digital camera Review: A very good player
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a very good Blu-Ray player. So far, it's been trouble-free, video quality is good, and Netflix streaming is great. DVD upconversion quality is excellent as well. My only complaint is somewhat slow menu loading times for Blu-Ray discs.

Digital camera Review: All I expected after reading other reviews
Summary: 5 Stars

The LG BD 370 is a great unit. At the moment I only have a 720P tv so I cannot attest to the 1080P Blueray Discs. They do look fantastic in 720P. I mostly got this unit for the Netflix streaming. The netflix SD streaming is not quite as crisp as regular dvds' that are up converted. The Netflix HD streaming is a good quality 720P picture. I am a little disapointed that the audio is not DD 5.1. Hopefully Netflix will add more HD titles for streaming. Over all I am satisfied with this unit and the price was right. Thanks

Digital camera Review: Almost there for me.

Summer of 2009 and I was hoping we would have $150 Blu-Ray players that would work flawlessly. After reading many reviews of different models, it seems like most of them have some sort of glitch or cost way too much for a country in a recession.

I bought this model for the Netflix streaming bonus. I have a Roku Netflix box that I was hoping to move to the bedroom. I've owned the Roku since it came out and I know exactly how well it works. So I have that to use as a comparison. Since I bought the LG, I've tested out many different Netlfix movies. Some have lip sync issues, some had video scaling problems, and I've noticed some video stutters in almost every one. I know some may say I should get a new router. But again, I have the Roku. None of those issues can be replicated with it. And I bought a new router to make that one work.

Great looking player. Love the GUI. The Blu-ray movies look great on my 42" plasma. Upconverting standard def as well. I was one of the lucky ones who didn't have the networking nightmare. I just plugged it in, updated the firmware, and I was ready to go. I think if all you care about is the Blu-ray with no additional features, you may be ok with this one. I do know there are several others that may be better quality so do your homework.

I would have given this one a fifth star if the Netflix was as good as a Roku. It made it to four stars for the price. I just don't think they are ready yet to mass produce Blu-ray players IMO. I think next year we will see a difference. You could always consider a PS3. Always has been a solid main player for me. I just wanted a second standalone with Netflix. Sending it back.

Digital camera Review: Amazing!
Summary: 5 Stars

This player works- period! My setup is HDMI cable to LCD TV and digital coaxial cable to receiver. Easy as cake! Took me 5 minutes to setup. Plays blu-ray movies well. Netflix and YouTube features are a breeze to setup and operate. Haven't tried plays mp3s yet. You should definitely get this player if you blu-ray movies, hours of entertainment on netflix and youtube.
