Digital camera reviews of LG BD 370 Network Blu-ray Disc PlayerDigital camera Review: Borderline Great Summary: 4 Stars
This product is super easy to use. Love the video streaming and the youtube. I only wish that you could connect wirelessly and that would have made this one great. I must say that the sound and video quality is excellent. Easily connects with the LG tv as well. This one gets a seal of approval from someone who want things to be simple to use. Two thumbs up.
Digital camera Review: Broke after a year Summary: 1 Stars
This player was okay at first, though slow to load discs. About 6 months after I purchased it, it began to intermittently refuse to play some discs. This happened more and more often, until it finally crapped out totally after 12 months. Now it doesn't recognize any discs at all. I've tried cleaning it (doesn't recognize the cleaning disc) and updating the firmware, but to no avail. It's clearly a hardware problem, because I can hear ugly grinding when it tries to read a disc. Hard to believe, since the player has literally been sitting on the console, not moving an inch, for a year. All LG tech support can offer (beyond the cleaning and a firmware update) is a $69 + parts repair job, since the warranty is only for 90 days. For that much money, I may as well get a new player. I'm disappointed, because I thought LG was a trustworthy brand. I'm amazed they would sell something so shoddy, when my last DVD player lasted for a decade.
Digital camera Review: Broken Summary: 1 Stars
Do not leave on pause. It may destroy the device after awhile.
The device broke down after 9 months. There is a reason this has been discontinued by LG.
The electrical board was improperly engineered. The resistors are cheap and two of them burned the PCB Assembly board up. The device won't power up the disc player anymore. Only the online material works. In essence after 9 months it has become a very expensive netflix box that can't use the blu-ray drive because it doesn't get any power anymore. This was on a surge protector, the device was paused for a long time.
Because it was outside of warranty, LG offered to repair for $80 dollars (SearsDirect says the part is $38 (invoice I was told is $19). What a rip.

Player worked fine for about 4 months, then the disk drive stopped reading disks. Called customer support, had a very difficult conversation with someone who spoke poor English, and learned that labor was only covered for 90 days. Now I have to spend $70 to pay to have it fixed. I'm putting that $70 towards another brand and will not be buying another LG product. I expect 90 day warranties on refurbs, but not on new items like this.
Digital camera Review: Buyer beware Summary: 1 Stars
Only had my LG for 6 months. It will not recognize any disk. Customer support was a joke. Now they want me to send it back for repair (at a cost of $60 + S&H). Other reviews say they have done this and received a still broken player after 4-6 weeks. I'll take this lesson and purchase some other brand of player instead... take it from me, don't buy LG (Goldstar, remember?)
