Digital camera Review: Perfect for Western Digital Elements HDDs

The Western Digital WD Elements 500 GB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive WDBAAU5000EBK-NESN fits very nicely in this case. The power adapter fits best on the side with the HDD, but the case does store everything. I always use antistatic bags, so I don't worry too much if the metal prong of the power adapter bumps into a port. There is some space lengthwise, but there is a band that holds the HDD fairly well. It is possible to fit the power adapter on the side with the mesh holder, but it would be a squeeze zippering the whole thing shut (but I have done it).
This case also fits my older Western Digital WD Elements 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive WDE1UBK10000 and my older Western Digital Elements 640 GB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive WDE1UBK6400N (Black). These are the ones that have the nice rubber bumpers, and are longer than the newer models (like my 500GB). The power adapter absolutely needs to be a bit squashed onto the pocket side, along with the USB cable. When I say squashed, I mean it is a tight fit zippering the case, but it works. These two HDDs have been a challenge to find cases for, and I had purchased the Case Logic External Hard Drive and Netbook Case for these two older HDDs, but they were too big. Workable, but I wasn't happy.
The memory foam is a plus, as the outer case wouldn't offer as much protection for on-the-go as I would like. Hopefully, that makes up enough for the lack of a more solid case. I am buying one more, as I am using the Case Logics for old DVD-RWs wrapped in A/S bags.
I hope this helps some of you Elements owners, as dimensions for these things can be harder to find than gold in a CA river.
