Well, it is beautiful - sleek, cool blue front activity light --- but it is not quiet - It will start to set up a frequency of spin that makes a "hum" noise. This can be quite loud. Louder than my CPU fan. So far the data operation is fine. I used the included driver to partition a Mac drive - just in case (using both MAC and PC systems now). Heat dissipation is good so far as well - I gave it 4. I have used sea disk in the past - this may be better depending on your needs.
