Digital camera reviews of LaCie Rugged All-Terrain 320 GB Firewire800/Firewire400/USB 2.0 Portable External Hard Drive 301832

Digital camera Review: Easy setup, working in 10 minutes
Summary: 5 Stars

Received the Lacie Rugged 320GB yesterday (12/26/08),hooked it up to the MacBook did the formatting and had it backing up my hard drive in 10 minutes. Very simple and easy to use. The only thing that could be changed is a firewire cable that is not so large in diameter. Does get a little warm when doing a backup. Fits perfect into the Case Logic Hard Drive Case.

Digital camera Review: Excelente Articulo!!!

Super excelente articulo!, justo lo que esperaba... muy buen precio, lo habia cotizado en zurich y era casi el doble del precio.

Digital camera Review: Excellent Product
Summary: 5 Stars

I am using the 320Gig version. Great Drive. Recommended. Works beautifully with Mac Leopard.

Digital camera Review: Excellent storage option
Summary: 5 Stars

I use this drive as my Time Machine drive for my Macbook. Works great, bus powered so it's easy to plug in and backup quickly. It's pretty small so I can keep it in my laptop bag. It's also a great storage option for large video files that I don't want to store on the main HD. Highly recommend.

Digital camera Review: Expensive Piece..
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought the LaCie because I am a mac user and reviews said that it was a good hard drive for mac users- I should not have listen to the reviews, because Western Digitals and Toshibas work equally well with macs. This HD was supposed to be durable and it was anything but. The inside connection pieces broke off so I ended up taking the hard drive (which I believe was hitachi) out and putting it inside a generic shell. Overpriced and a huge ripoff, also bulky and awkward so therefore not really portable. Buy a Toshiba.
