I ordered two laser toner cartridges from a vendor on Amazon. This is the first time I have used anything other than Brother cartridges. The first one looked okay when I took it out of the package, but when I printed a document, the pages were all streaked badly along both of the long sides of the paper. I then opened the second cartridge. It had leaked toner, and it was visible and all over my hands even before I took off the yellow plastic cover. I cleaned up the mess as best as I could using several tisses. When I tried printing the same document, there was still light streaking on both sides of the paper, although not as bad as with the first cartridge, and also each sheet had a large black blob of toner on the upper left side of the paper.
This is a pretty new laser printer -- about a month old -- with very little use, so I do not think the issue is with the printer itself. The starter cartridge from Brother that came with the printer worked perfectly.
