Digital camera Review: Crap....for the FZ-40

I looked at the buyers also bought and amazon suggestions. This battery came up on both. So, I figured it would be a good idea....you know how bad it sucks to lose battery life.
Well, It came as promised with my total order. I looked at the 2 ....damn thing doesnt fit my camera. NOW why is everyone buying these with there FZ-40? And why did AMAZON suggest it?
Amazon will only replace the same battery...so, Im kind of screwed.
Maybe a good production...dunno and really dont care....can only use soemthing different.

This battery did not charge--when inserted into the Panasonic charger, the light would go on and then almost immediately go off. Could not return because the sealed package had been opened. I have bought equivalent batteries for the Panasonic CGAS007 from a different company which were very reliable, but this Lenmar battery was useless.Digital camera Review: Did not work at all

Given the exemplary reviews this product has received from most others, my review must come as a disappointment. I might have received a lemon but this is what happened. Unfortunately, I was about to travel and so ordered this one as a back up to the original panasonic battery for my dmc fz-35 camera. Since I was traveling I missed out on the 30 day return window and so now am stuck with it. Attempts to exercise the warranty from Lenmar turns out to be more expensive than a brand new one (the price has dropped 5 dollars since I got it in April 2010) and so I did precisely that. Ordered a new one and am still in the process of testing this one out. Back to the problem with the first one. It charged well and held charge too. No issues with that. But when I put in the battery and turn my camera on, the camera begins to act funny. Keeps zooming in and out on its own, turns off abruptly and sometimes, when it is still on and I try to take pictures, it clicks but then the picture is nowhere to be found and the review image is replaced with a question mark. Just to be sure the issue was with the battery and not the camera, I try again with the original panasonic battery and everything works well. So, it must be the battery, right? I don't exactly know what might be the defect with the battery that is making my camera act funny but I would certainly appreciate feedback from anyone who does.
