I purchased this as an addition to my cleaning supplies for my camera equipment. Unfortunately, I was surprised how cheaply it was made. Regardless, it still does the job on very light stuff - I could use the brush to wipe away some specks of dust perhaps. However, it wasn't super effective for more than that. I think I'll stick with liquid and cloths (or pre-moistened cloths) to do the work I need. Perhaps someday this tool will come in handy. But I think it will just collect dust on a shelf somewhere. Bought this because of all the hype around them. They are alright and work like they should, a microfiber cloth to me is no different by their cleaning abilities. But due to it's shape, it's easier to use than a microfiber cloth because you won't have to worry about applying too much pressure on the coating of your lens. I still use both anyways. These are handy and do work, but I'll just stick with my microfiber cloth in the future to save money although it's shape causes it to be harder to clean the lenses. My only problem with this accessory is that the little pad on the cleaning end of the pen tends to come off when you apply even the slightest amount of pressure. Otherwise, it's been a pretty handy little accessory to have for cleaning the front elements of my lenses.Digital camera Review: Definitely a better way to clean my lenses!

Just got my first one of these and after examining it I tried it on my old starter kit "throwaway" lens. What a nice job it did! No streaking like when I use tissues and liquid. No problem wiping it around the lens in a circular motion ala the tissue method and What A Difference when done. The brush is a no-nonsense brush as well - very dense set of soft bristles that is recessed into the pen to keep it clean (wish it had a cap for the brush as well).
