Digital camera reviews of Leviton Signal Coupler/RepeaterDigital camera Review: Solid performance Summary: 5 StarsA coupler/repeater may not sound exciting but it has solved operating problems that I have been fighting for months. The Leviton literature says to use one of these in every load center. I have 6. With these couplers in 5 of them the most distant outlets have at least 0.8 volts of signal. Most outlets have 1.1 volts or more. No more missed signals and the overall level of signal activity has dropped since fewer repeats are necessary.
Summary of Leviton Signal Coupler/RepeaterEnsures Sufficient Command Signal Strength Throughout 3-Wire Residential Wiring Systems For Proper DHC Network Operation.Performs a variety of functions to ensure outstanding DHC system performance and reliability. The module couples transmitter (programmer and controller) signals generated on the 120V leg where the transmitter draws power onto the other leg in a 120/240V residential wiring system. The module also amplifies and repeats command signals to maintain proper signal strength throughout the DHC system. Leviton's exclusive Intellisense? Technology (gated automatic gain control) feature helps ensure top performance even when noise is present on the AC powerline. The module provides convenient ON/OFF test signal transmission capability. This allows for easy signal strength verification at individual module locations with Leviton's Cat. No. 6386 Signal Strength Indicator. The error lamp indicates that the Intellisense feature is activated.
