Digital camera reviews of Lewis N. Clark Blanzza Digital Luggage ScaleDigital camera Review: I wish I bought this sooner! Summary: 5 Stars
I always go on trips and i always have a hard time weighing my bags. This device makes my life and my flying experience so much easier (no joke), it's extremely easy to use, but sometimes the weight can be inconsistent (by .01 to 1 lbs) if you weight the item again. Nevertheless, it's the best scale in the market so far! I'd recommend this item to a friend.
Digital camera Review: Junk right out of the box Summary: 1 Stars
Well, I took my chances based on the many good reviews and few bad ones. I lost. Right of the box I got the infamous "out-0" error which in balanzza's world means..ha ha sucker... you lose! Called and they instantly said they would send me a new one...however does no good the night before I leave for a big trip. If you get this... check it out weeks before you need it.
Digital camera Review: Piece of Junk - Out-0 Error Summary: 1 Stars
Used the scale once without problem and then a week later it locked up with an Out-0 error message and no way to use or fix it. Nothing on the website about the error message. I did nothing but keep it in a drawer. This product is a complete piece of junk.
Digital camera Review: Pluses outweigh minuses Summary: 4 Stars
After getting very good at weighing my luggage on a bathroom scale, but dreading the process (weighing myself, holding the bag in such a way that the full weight of the bag was over the scale, leaning in such a way as to see the dial, etc), I opted for this monster. I travel back and forth to a Latin American country to my home there, so I go fully loaded. And being past 51 lbs could cost $100 on some airlines.
I had no problems with calibration, accuracy and use. It nails the weight to the 1/10 of a pound and I have so much confidence that I go 50+ (American-based carriers with few exceptions allow a 1 lb leeway). It is easily portable, and I had one at both ends. So far the best portable scale I've found.
The minuses: all have been previously listed. To reset the scale, I push the On/Off button, the, "Reset" button does not work. The LED screen has number images burned into it, considering the length of time the scale is on it is disconcerting. The fastener locks from time to time after weighing a suitcase, and it takes pliers to release it. So if I weigh it at the airport, what if it sticks? I cut off the strap, effectively ruining the scale? Finally, trying to contact the company to complain has been futile.
So for my purposes I will still use it because it suits my needs, and I can overcome its minuses. But the sticking clasp can create a chaotic and embarassing situation at the airport if used there.
Digital camera Review: Travel Everywhere With It Summary: 5 Stars
Lewis N. Clark Blanzza Digital Luggage Scale
This luggage scale is great. We travel everywhere with it and use it on all trips to make sure we hit the 50 pound limits.
In the Canary Islands, my daughter used it when her bag was rejected as overweight and we had to re-pack. She wanted one as part of her Christmas Present.
We've had zero problems except for changing the battery, which is normal.
