I was sceptical when I read only one other review that complained about the insertion/ejection mechanism
when it was accompanied by some many happy reviews. So I went with the majority opinion and ordered one.
Well I don't know if there are 2 completely different models being sent out but this thing is a complete piece of junk.
The insertion mechanism was very vague and the eject equally clunky. I have ordinary USB card readers that only cost
$15 vs $60 for this one, their build quality is superior by a large margin.
I don't mind paying a premium for a professional grade/speed product but I found this to be neither.
Asides from a useless insertion mechanism, it turns out this one is faulty, only deciding to read a card about 1 in ten times.
It's frustrating that there aren't other high speed card reader solutions out there. An ESATA solution would be great. Firewire 800 would
be next.

It looks and feels professional on the outside but it's not.
When you insert a Flash Card, you want it to feel solid and know that the alignment is perfect. You don't get that feeling. When you slide in the Flash Card, it's sloppy loose and worry about damage to the card comes to mind.
I have an older Lexar card reader that looks "plastic and cheap" but it's solid on insertion and tight. If Lexar could put the two together....professional looks and tight feel, they would have a winner. This is not a winner. I returned mine. (With no hassle too...Thanks!)

The card reader I couldn't use as you need a special jack a 9 pin, instead of your regular USB jack. The description was not clear in that it doesn't use a USB type jack.
I was required to pay return shipping even though I ordered it not knowing it wouldn't work for my computer.
A good product I'm sure but be careful when ordering as it won't work with a USB plug or jack.

Cables included and I thought it would fit in my Firewire port in my PC... Nope! Complete fail, partly because I didn't research it hard enough and secondly because it's not well defined in the product description on the compatibility level. Perhaps a graph of what the ports look like so that you can say, "If you don't have this kind of port, it won't work." What a waste of money.
