Digital camera Review: All you need in one little package

I bought the Logitech pointer not knowing what to look for in a pointer. When I opened the package, I instantly liked what I saw. The device felt good in the hand and the controls were easily accessible.
In the meantime I have had a chance to compare the Logitech pointer with others and am even happier that I chose device over others. The controls are not jumpy and hyper-sensitive like on other pointers. The laser light is bright and clear and easy to see even in brighter surroundings. The USB stick incorporated in the device is very practical, because you don't have to dig for it, which comes in handy when you only have minutes to switch devices between speakers.
All in all I am very happy to have chosen this little device over others. I have out-performed all others in preparation time and pointing accuracy. It makes a presentation go so much smoother when you don't have to wiggle your device and apologize to your audience that your pointer is not very bright.
You just plug and present.
Digital camera Review: Almost perfect

The nature of my job, requires me to make lengthy presentation often, where I have to go back and forth a lot on my view graphs. This product is almost perfect. Unlike some presenters which are ultra small and can easily slip off your hand, it's just the right size. The buttons are very conveniently located, the simplest way you would naturally want them to be (In fact, I opened the package 2 minutes before my presentation, and I had NO complications using it. Very straight forward). Before buying this product, I suspected that the laser button may be close to Next/Previous buttons and it may be possible to push them together. But it was no problem. The laser button is raised and acts as a separator between Next/Previous buttons. The Timer feature is very handy, specially the vibrator which does not distract your audience.
I can think of a couple of minor flaws in this device. First, the laser intensity is not as high as individual laser pointers. This might reduce the visibility of the laser spot for presentations in bright environments. but nevertheless it's adequately good for 95% of situations.
Second, I would have liked it better, if the device came with a hand strip. This way I could easily use my both hands, while the device hanged off my wrist and then resume the presentation by grabbing the device.
Third, the "start" button only acts as "restart" and not "resume". At least this is the case for Microsoft PowerPoint 2003. I've read there're some tricks to get around this problem, but I've not personally used them.
Overall, if you can buy a pair of jeans in less than 2 hours, you're less picky than me, and you would definitely enjoy this Logitech presenter not even noticing any of the above issues. If not, you need to search for what exactly fits your application.

I had two of them, one replaced by another due to failure of laser button. Both of them failed exactly after 1 and half semester of usage for teaching. The laser button doesn't work anymore. Very bad reliability. If you are looking to buy something for everyday classroom teaching, I don't recommend this product. As with almost every other Logitech product, this one doesn't disappoint. While it is almost twice as expensive as its nearest competitor, it is worth every penny.
Installation was a snap and required no additional drivers. Volume control is an innovative feature, even though most powerpoint presentations don't have embedded audio or video. The Laser pointer is useful as well and goes a long distance, which is handy when you are presenting in a large room.
Also, I liked the range that I could use it at. It does in fact work up to 50 feet as long as you don't have any large object obstructing the signal from the hand held remote.
Overall, I think it is a great buy and looks like has secured a permanent place in my laptop bag for years to come.

In my business I give 4 or 5 presentations a week. I have tried several, cordless presenters in the past but none as flawless as the Logitech. Installed and worked perfectly the first time and every time. Good price, excellent quality. Cannot go wrong with the Logitech!
