The Portable Webcam C905 replaces the QuickCam Pro for Notebooks. While the QuickCam Pro for Notebooks offers VGA-quality video at 30 frames per second (high-quality video) on Skype, we made adjustments to ensure the updated Portable Webcam C905 can perform up to VGA-quality video at 30 FPS on any video application, including Logitech Vid. Secondly, the Portbale Webcam C905 was modified to be capable of adjusting to widescreen format and record 720 pixels (1280×720) at up to 30 FPS. Finally, software is no longer required for RightLight technology. Instead, we've built it into the device, so right out of the box, you'll get the best image quality possible, regardless of harsh or dim lighting conditions. We also adjusted the firmware to make sure that RightLight engages only when necessary. Like the QuickCam Pro for Notebooks, the Portable Webcam C905 features an easy-to-transport design so that you can make a video call no matter where you are.

Camera works as advertised - it rocks!
Excellent image quality (sharp and crystal clear). Fast autozoom. Awesome light management - clear and sharp image even in almost complete darkness (only laptop screen light).
Very good grip on the stand that comes with it. Excellent soft pouch (e.g. personally I keep the camera attached to the stand 100% of the time and to prevent it from dust simply cover it with pouch - very convenient).
Works even with slow internet connection. E.g. my parents "enjoy" 256 kbit/s which quickly limits itself to 32.. (yep, Russian province, baby) - they report sharp and clear image.
Overall - guys, all my peripheral devices are from Logitech. It just happened so. They constantly turn out to be the best at what they do.

This device is working great for me. One of the long-standing complaints I've had about webcams is poor picture quality, primarily because of poor optics. A lot of people think it's lack of bandwidth, and that is a real issue. But it all starts with good optics. This little cam has great optics and focus.Digital camera Review: Awesome

Easy to use and very sharp picture. Much better than my camera in my laptop. The set up is really fast and easy and it's compatible with skype.
