Digital camera Review: Almost great..

I really wanted to like this product, it has good build quality and nice aesthetics but it suffers from a few design flaws which make it unusable for me.
Pros:
* Very nice keyboard (I have not been a fan of many recent logitech keyboards but this one felt very nice to me, slightly mushy but with a subtle tactile response. The integrated wrist cushion is very comfortable)
* Extra powered USB Ports (Despite what some reviewers have written, the external power supply is *not* required to use the keyboard, it is only for the powered USB ports)
* Works with 17" laptops
* Compact and easily portable when folded up
* Overall build quality, aesthetics
Cons:
* Not height adjustable (The height is good on some tables but on my desk the screen stands about 4" above the height of my 24" monitors which is just too high, killing any ergonomic benefits. I returned it and got an XBrand XB-1001 which is adjustable)
* USB cable which connects to the computer is too short, it could barely reach the USB port at the front side of my laptop.
* No integrated audio jacks, front of stand blocks the onboard audio jacks on most laptops which now have the jacks on the front rather than the side, making it impossible to use external speakers.

In order for this notebook stand to work, your notebook lid (screen) should open to an angle of 135 degrees or more. My Acer laptop would open only up to 120 degrees and hence the screen stays leaned forward instead of being vertical.
The stand's base angle is not adjustable. It is set to 45 degrees angle. I have verified this by calling Logitech's customer support.
If you are considering to purchase this product, do the following. Open the notebook's lid as far back as possible. Then measure the angle from base (table surface) to the screen. Do not measure from the keyboard surface! If the angle is less than 135 degrees, then you are better off trying another product.
This item is not useful for me. From what I have seen, the build quality of every component seemed great. I am returning it with reluctance.

This product is amazing...Got just what I wanted...
Keyboard is very comfortable I love the shortcut keys on it..
The dock is pretty cool...it has 3 usb ports where you can plug in Ur ipod charger or any other chargers and you don't have to worry about taking them out when you have to take your laptop off the dock..just remove one usb and you are done...
A good thing which they don't advertise( or they do dunno) .. so the hub on the dock is also a wireless hub the keyboard and my wireless mouse connects through it.. I haven't tried configuring the printer to it but I think that should work as well...
all in all great buy I would pay close to 60 bucks for it...and I paid 30ish I am really happy with this buy...one of the best I have made..

This is an excellent equivalent of a docking station for my notebook computer. The elevated screen position is about ideal, With the built-in powered USB hub, I plug in one USB and my printer and other peripherals are on, and the included wireless mouse is a great aid when I'm settled in for a working session. I can also close the notebook and plug in my large monitor, for an excellent "desktop" arrangement, yet still have the portability of my MacBook Pro when not at my work station.
