Digital camera reviews of Logitech Alto Cordless Notebook Stand

Digital camera Review: Great Product, Great Price
Summary: 5 Stars

I was having a lot of neck pain from slouching over my laptop all of the time. This riser gets the screen up to eye level. The wireless keyboard is great. I am very happy with my purchase.

Digital camera Review: Great Upgrade to my laptop
Summary: 5 Stars

I thought the notebook stand would look goofy, but it is really cool and professional looking. I have a small desk and it fit perfectly. I can see the screen better than before and the headphone jack in the front of the laptop where it sits in the stand is no problem because I used a 90 degree angled plug in on the headphone cord...perfect!!!
The keyboard is fantastic, with loads of features. I really thought it would be a simple keyboard, but it is high end and well built.
I'm extremely satisfied with the whole set up. Believe me, because I am very particular with electronics, Major O.C.D. trust me . Hope others take advantage of the low price on this item. WELL WORTH IT!

Digital camera Review: Great Value
Summary: 5 Stars

Got this for a wonderful price. Keyboard works flawlessly, and immediately as soon as its plugged in. My only minor, weird complaint is that I prefer the new keyboards that do NOT have a capslock key. Who needs it? They're just a pain. But, 99% still do, so this one is no different. Very happy with my purchase.

Digital camera Review: Great Value!
Summary: 4 Stars

I was super excited when I got this because I've been pleased with a number of Logitech Products. This laptop stand is perfect for my needs, the integrated Usb hub and keyboard are awesome.

the only problem with it is that it only has one setting for height and if your laptop can't open more then 130 degrees it won't be vertical when placed in the stand. The way I got around this was by placing my laptop in it a little differently. I use the rubber hinge as the stand, instead of the actual stand. It works just fine that way.

All the pictures show the keyboard separate but I haven't figured out how to get them apart. I'll have to check again but if it's possible it certainly isn't easy to do.

Overall,I'm very pleased with the product and the price I got was awesome 76% off here on Amazon!(though I'm not sure it was worth the MSRP in the first place).

Digital camera Review: Great construction - frees you from cords
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this because I was using a large Microsoft keyboard with my laptop that constantly gave me trouble. It would work half the time and fail the rest. Plus, it was inconvenient. It was ergonomically well-made, however. I miss that with this unit. I feel my fingers and hands are cramped -- even though it's a full-sized keyboard. Also on the negative side, you can't get to the front of the laptop. I have my microphone and sound card on the front and would like to use it. But, I can't using this unit. Also, the instructions are not well-written. Not that you need many instructions but there is a right way to install things.

On the positive side, it pretty much works right out of the box. Be sure to turn the laptop off first. Install the USB cable into your laptop and then insert anything else you need after that. My unit started right off. Has a nice feature. Hit a certain key and up pops a neat, handy calculator. It has a nice keyboard except I'd prefer an ergonomic one. Has the calculator keys, Internet keys, etc.

The unit is built solidly. You can feel the quality. The stand is heavy for a reason --- it is designed to protect your laptop. So that's a plus. The keyboard is light and easily managed. When not in use, just set it aside.

At least in my opinion, the unit makes the laptop sit far too high to be comfortable or easy-on-the-eyes or in any way ergonomic. I just lay my laptop on top of the unit, flat. It's too short in that case so I have to reinforce the back end of the laptop. I can see no way to make this unit useful in any other way.

So now I have a keyboard that I can depend on. By the way, the stand has several handy USB ports, which adds lots of function. I rate it close to five stars except, that at least to me, the keyboard is a bit cramped. Also, you have to adjust the height and distance of the laptop so it suits your field of vision and comfort. Not as easy as it sounds.

I probably would have purchased a different type of unit had I actually seen this and perhaps used it first.
