Digital camera reviews of Logitech ClearChat Comfort/USB Headset H390 (Black)Digital camera Review: A VERY SATISFIED LOGITECH CLEARCHAT USB HEADSET CUSTOMER Summary: 4 Stars
USED THIS PRODUCT QUITE EXTENSIVELY SINCE I BOUGHT IT LAST MONTH. THE HEADESET ITSELF IS UNUSUALLY COMFORTABLE & THE RECEPTION CLEAR & CRISP. WITHOUT HESITATION I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PRODUCT.
Digital camera Review: A good choice for Skyping Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this headset primarily for using Skype to place calls overseas to land lines and cells phones. The sound quality is excellent, far superior to that of a cellphone, or the internal speakers of the Mac. There is a real immediacy to the sound. I'm told by those I call that the sound on the receiving end is also very good. Part of this may because this is VOI, but I think the headphones definitely make a difference. The sound volume is more than adequate, and the unit has controller for adjusting it. My only complaint is that the headphones are not very comfortable, in that the plastic part connecting the earpieces is stiff and not padded. As a result, it tends to irritate the top of the head. Overall, however, these headphones are an excellent and relatively inexpensive way to use Skype. Mac users should note that it was very easy interfacing the headset with Skype.
Digital camera Review: A little flimsy, but does the job Summary: 4 Stars
The construction feels a bit flimsy, but it works fine. I've been using it to play Team Fortress + Left 4 Dead and logged upwards of 20 hours with no major complaints other than the tightness on my ears, which gets worse over time. It's great for bursts of short-term usage (say 2-3 hours or so). But if you want something comfortable for long term usage, look for something something else.
Digital camera Review: Alright, but there's better choices Summary: 3 Stars
As far as headsets go, this one is decent on the comfort scale but after several hours of use you begin to feel that familiar ache from it pressing against your ears. (Even if you loosen it)
It has good sound quality and a sensetive mic (especially for background noises unfortunately) however the physical quality of the parts and whatnot is subpar. I've had 3 of these headsets and the first 2 broke within a couple months. The first one had USB connector problems. The problem being that the part that actually goes into the USB port just slid off clean as a bell, the little metal tines bent and broke when I carefully attempted to re-attach the square bit. The second one had wire problems and shorted out the volume button and the right earphone, mic and left sound still worked but it was either VERY loud or VERY quiet, it was random and I had no control over volume except for application wise. The wires finally just came off the connection due to poor soldering. I guess machines can't always be perfect. the 3rd one I just gave to a family member so I could purchase a better headset.
All in all not a bad purchase if they're on sale or if you get it as a gift, but I would opt for something else given the choice.
Digital camera Review: Amazing! Summary: 5 Stars
I am a big fan of Logitech's products. I expect great quality from it. My mouse, my webcam, and my previous headset were all satisfactory, with very few issues (if there ever were any). I bought this product to replace my old headset (I sat on it), and I am pleasantly surprised. The sound quality surpasses both my old headset (which was more expensive) and my speakers. The microphone is also very high quality. Also, the volume control on the wire was a bonus. It is especially useful when I am playing World of Warcraft with my XBox 360 controller while leaned back. I don't want to have to lean forward to hit the volume control on my keyboard. My only complaint is not about its design or its ability. My only complaint is that the mic is on the left. It feels funny. Otherwise, it is an excellent piece of electronics.
