I was really hesitant about purchasing this set. I've had bad sets in the past that either had horrible output or horrible input.
I'm to the point where I can't even sit at my computer now without reaching for this set. The sound is so rich, better than any headset I've ever owned, and I've never had a problem with people hearing me through the mic. I've had my set for a year, and the ONLY reason I'm getting a new pair is because the cord is starting to short a bit--not much tho. Then again, to Logitech's defense, I've put this set through a lot. I wear them every day. I've fallen asleep in them, tangled them, dropped them. Still, they work just fine. But I would hate to wake up one day and find they've completely died on me, so I'm getting a backup set.
At this rate, I'm guessing I could get at least 18 months to 2 years of awesome use out of something I abuse on a daily basis. They're comfortable, too, and easy to adjust. The volume button on the cord is an absolute LIFESAVER.
(Note, this may not happen to everyone, but the set's volume functionality will cease to work from time to time. I tried disconnecting/reconnecting the set, but have come to find that only a computer reboot will work. To me, it's a tiny problem overall compared with the great quality of the set and it's easy to fix. This does not in any way interfere with my computer's volume functionality, however. So in all, it's just a matter of convenience. When the set's functionality goes out, I only whine because I'm so used to adjusting volume on the cord instead of directly on the computer. MINOR MINOR glitch.)
For the price, I don't think I could ever buy another brand. The set's worth every penny.

I found this headset to be neither clear nor comfortable. It is very cheaply made and failed to produce good results when used Dragon Naturally Speaking, speech recognition software. Like other reviewers have noted, the USB connection is not robust. Mine was destroyed within 1 week, after an accidental light tug that a normal 3.5mm plug would have survived.
I was satisfied with all aspects of the headset until this happened. So if you're very careful and won't accidentally tug the chord, they are still a good choice.

My overriding impression is how painful it is to wear this headset. It is simply too tight on the ears and no adjustment helps.
Having said that, the quality of construction seems to be quite good and the sound quality is also quite good.
