Although it does not mention it anywhere in the specs, this setup REQUIRES a PS2 port on your PC for the mouse to work. If you bought a newer computer like I did, you may not have a PS2 port. My girlfriend had this key board for a while and it seemed very pleasing, so I decided to get one myself. It's great, especially for the price. I can pause my movies from across the room, and never have to worry about any wires.. (I do recommend some rechargeable batteries though). This is the first keyboard I've used with the new "Delete/Insert/Home" key pad arrangement, and I love it. No more accidentally hitting the "Insert" key and changing my type mode to "Over Type" (honestly, I've never used the "Insert" key on purpose in my entire life).
I did find one fault that both me and my Girlfriend experienced (so I know it's not just isolated to my keyboard). Occasionally, and quite randomly, it'll stop transmitting what we're typing.. Kind of freeky. But it has a simple fix; if it ever happens, just pop the batteries out, mash on the keys for a little while (half a minute or so) and put the batteries back in. It should then work fine again. Because of this it could make a terrible gaming keyboard (more so than a normal Wireless keyboard). But over all, I don't feel it's hurt my opinion much towards it. It's also worth mentioning that we both went with the refurbished version (which I would recommend to anyone). Oh, and we've both only had this happen once, and she had her keyboard for 4 to 5 months, and I've had mine for around two.

I've been looking for ways to gain more real-estate on my desk, so I picked up this wireless keyboard and mouse. Now my computer is about 4 feet out of the way, there are no keyboard and mouse wires in the way.
I had no difficulty installing the hardware and software and within a few minutes, I was up and running.
I have not noticed a performance hit.
