Digital camera reviews of Logitech Cordless Number Pad for NotebooksDigital camera Review: DO NUT BUY FOR A 1 Stars
Like most mac users, I am slightly irritated at Apple's boneheaded decision to NOT include a number pad on the apple wireless keyboard. Not wanting to be constrained with a wired number pad,or the wired apple keyboard, I opted to purchase this unit. After removing it from the packaging (i,e, destroying the packaging b/c there is no way to get the blasted thing out otherwise!) I discovered that it ISN'T compatible with OSX. OSX properly identifies the device, it just doesn't work, After searching on the logitech forums, I discovered that this is a known issue for Logitech and that apparently they just don't care! Tons of other Mac owners have purchased this unit and are now in the same position as me....stuck with a worthless piece of plastic that will only work in windows.
Save your money and your frustrations!
Digital camera Review: Decent keypad, but... Summary: 3 Stars
I needed a keypad when tackling Excel and other number-centric tasks. Looked at other choices but the Logitech seemed to fit the bill the best. Having the calculator button is very handy. The keypad feels solid and sturdy, which is nice when pounding away at the numbers. Two things really prevent me from giving it a 5-star rating. The wireless USB receiver is way too big. I mean, this thing is designed to be used with notebooks - probably for people like me who deal with numbers quite often - and we're constantly on the go. A nano receiver like the ones they pack with newer mice would have been nice. Second, the storage slot on the keypad for the wireless receiver is not well designed. Since the dongle is so long, you can easily snag your clothing against it and bend the receiver. Obviously, a smaller receiver would solve both problems.
Digital camera Review: Does not work with Macintosh Summary: 1 Stars
Once again Logitech has caught me and developed a product that only works with Windows XP/Vista.
It looks like a great little unit but it wouldn't recognize the Mac keyboard.
Digital camera Review: Doesn't last longer than 3 months Summary: 1 Stars
Bought this item, it died after 2 months of use (yes, only 2 months!) Loved it so much, though, that I bought a 2nd one...it, too, died after 4 months. Going back to the USB model. Too bad, as the size of this is perfect - just shoddy electronics. Sorry Logitech! Fool me once, shame on you: fool me twice, shame on me. I won't come back for more.
Digital camera Review: Doesn't work with Mac. Summary: 2 Stars
I just purchased a Macbook and will use both windows and mac on it.
This keypad works fine with the windows side, but the mac os doesn't see most of the buttons including the numbers!
It maybe the fault of the mac system.
