Digital camera reviews of Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman (USB/PS/2)Digital camera Review: Almost there... Summary: 4 Stars
The Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman is near perfect. One feature that seems to be missing is a side scroll function. As well, if it were Bluetooth my world would be complete.
Digital camera Review: An inexpensive but effective solution to hand fatigue Summary: 5 Stars
I've used this product for at least 3 years and outside of it being one of the least expensive, it is one of the best. My experience is as follows:
I do computer aided design work for at least 10 hrs a day, I've been doing this for 23 yrs. I developed RSI in my left hand first, as this is my strong hand, and when I moved the mouse to my right hand I started to develop the symptoms there as well. I've used at least 5 other trackball products, all ranging in price from $$ to $$$ and had varying results from them all. I also realized that having to use my thumb for the trackball movement was also causing discomfort so I tried this product and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was and how easy it was to use. Since then I have had no discomfort and I highly recommend this product to my co-workers (note that having the same product in close proximity to each other can cause mouse interference which can be annoying) and friends. I spent so much money on more expensive products and though there may have been one that was as comfortable it was costly and did not have the amount of buttons that this one has. I have one at work, at home on my desktop and I carry one with my laptop. It is the best trackball mouse that I have ever used and I recommend it to anyone with RSI problems.
Digital camera Review: Another Excellant Trackball Summary: 4 Stars
I just hooked up my trackball mouse to my Windows Vista computer and it installed with out any problems. I like the feel of it in my hand. Although it does feel a little diferently then the corded track ball I previously used. All the buttons are in the right position to push. The only complaints I have about this mouse is that the scroll wheel is a little sensitive. It requires a light touch. Or you will put it in automatic scroll mode. I also would have preferred it to be on the side. So I could use my thumb to scroll the pages. But overall this is a great cordless trackball mouse, for those that have used one before.
Digital camera Review: Another GREAT Logitech product Summary: 5 Stars
I upgraded from a Logitech Marble (which still works perfectly after a year, I just wanted to go wireless). This is slightly bigger and has a larger ball. Your hand position is also a little different, which, to me, seemed very akward and uncomfortable at first. However, after about a day, this one became second nature and I couldn't imagine it being any different. I LOVE IT!
A GREAT trackball. The rubbery feel feels very nice and inviting. The buttons are very well placed. The slightly bigger ball makes it easier to navigate. Programmable buttons. Wireless. Extremely comfortable (after a day or so). Great range . I often have mine over 6 ft away from the receiver with no problems, and it could probably go farther. I was hesitant to pay the price for it, but I feel it was money very well spent and worth every penny! You can't go wrong with a Logitech.
You may have to spend a few minutes finding the best place for the receiver. I had it about a foot away, level with the mouse and it wouldn't work. However, now it is under my desk about three feet away and it works perfectly. Also, my hands are of average size and I find it somewhat difficult to reach the very top button, but it's not a big problem.
OVERALL: AMAZING!
Digital camera Review: Aw man... Summary: 2 Stars
Man, I was so excited to order this thing to use as our media center input device because a mouse on the recliner arm sucks but the wireless range on this thing use just awful. As soon as the trackball was more than 5 feet from the receiver it would start skipping around everywhere and it was completely useless at 6 ft. I was so impressed with the Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks - Mouse - laser - 5 button(s) - wireless - 2.4 GHz - USB wireless receiver that I ordered a year ago (it works flawlessly past ten ft) that I thought this would definitely work since the transmitter was 10 times as large but no dice. I'm sure it works really well right next to the receiver but it does not work as a media center/TV mouse replacement.
