Digital camera reviews of Logitech Cordless TrackMan WheelDigital camera Review: A Little Disappointed Summary: 3 Stars
I had read several reviews and really was disappointed when I got this. It is not as easy to use as I thought. I have used a Track Man for years with no difficulty....this one is a bit sensitive......and when it drops to the ground the ball falls out, which is not what I expected. I would never purchase this one again.
Digital camera Review: A great cordless mouse, I love it! Summary: 5 Stars
This the 2nd Logictech cordlees trackball mouse I have had in the last 8 years. The 1st one lasted me 8 years until I purchased this one in July 2010. The 1st one I had dropped alot of times over the years and it was very durable. The mouse is so comfortable and easy to use, you can lean back in a recliner and use the mouse easily there or anywhere. The only negative thing I can say about it is after a few years of use it kinda looses it precision some. It still works good but the thumb ball does not move as smooth as when it was new. Otherwise I can truly say it is a quality item.
Digital camera Review: A great, classic product - now wireless! Summary: 5 Stars
I have loved the Logitech TrackMan trackballs, particularly the "marble" versions. I have used almost every version they have produced. This particular model of the famous Marble is my favorite - precise thumb control of the ball, and easy fingering of the buttons and scroll wheel, all combined with a perfect ergonomic design that allows hours of comfortable use.
When I went to a Mac recently, I reluctantly but dutifully got a Mac power mouse. BIG mistake. I hate, hate, hate using a mouse! So I hooked my old TrackMan up to the Mac keyboard and - Voila! - my right hand was happy again. And I was effortlessly zooming around the screen. And joyfully experiencing, once again, the superiority of a right-click context menu (that Control-Click BS is something I never will understand about Macs).
Since I have become a Mac devotee and would never go back to PC - especially now that I found I could use my beloved trackball - I decided to treat myself to the convenience of the new cordless TrackMan. Same great product I'd been using for years, just without the "string." Others might complain about the size of the transmitter and the length of the cord that attaches it to the computer, but it is easily concealed. My keyboard drawer is delightfully free of clutter, with only my new, ultra-thin Mac keyboard and my cordless TrackMan. Life is sweet!
If you, like me, prefer a trackball to a mouse, you will love this cordless version. If you are a regular mouse user, I urge you to consider the liberating experience of keeping your hand in one place and letting "your fingers do the walking."
Digital camera Review: A mouse replacement for everyone Summary: 5 Stars
Since my first computer in 1992 I have used a mouse and never really had any strong opinions about it. I loved it for gaming, and it worked great for everything else. After I started getting inner elbow pain which appeared to be from placing my hand in the same position as required by a mouse, I decided I would give using a trackball a shot to see if the pain went away. Sure enough it did, and the comfort and ease of this trackball is certainly undeniable. I am not saying your pain will go away, but I know it is a lot smoother and more comfortable to use this rather than a mouse.
And gamers, don't worry. I am using a trackball for FPS games and it works just as well. As one reviewer said, it takes a day or two to use, and then you just feel disappointed whenever you have to use a mouse.
I love this. Buy a trackball. The cordless is nice, it uses batteries quickly. I am probably going to buy a wired one for work soon.
Digital camera Review: A mouse that is worth it. Summary: 4 Stars
I don't have any real reason to use such an ergonomic mouse, I just love these trackball mice. I had previously bought the same model, but it wasn't cordless. The previous mouse lasted 3 years with me, I wore-out the left click button until I basically had to slam the d@$n thing to make it work.
I use this one with my laptop, its easy to carry and doesn't need any desk space, your not moving your hand all over the place. This model I noticed, doesn't need cleaning at all! The previous model I had to remove gunk every fer hours of use, this one hasn't required any cleaning since I purchased it.
The there are two CONs I can think of: it consumes batteries often, the small advantage to that is that it only uses one battery at a time. The other thing is that the wireless receiver it has is huge, no mini clip-on USB receiver on the bottom of the mouse to make it even more practical... they had to use the giant cheese wedge with a cord on it...
But over all, great product!
