Digital camera Review: BEST EVER TRACKBALL MOUSE!!!

I've been using the corded and cordless Trackman Wheel mice for a very very long time now. I love it so much, I keep the wireless at home and have taken the corded trackball mouse with me to every desk job I've had (just 2 jobs in 9 years). It has been a saving grace on my ergonomic wrist pain since my physical therapy for RSI back in 2001. I can't use any other mouse now, it makes perfect sense to keep your arm and wrist still and just roll your thumb around for the cursor and use your fingers to click and scroll. I do prop up the palm end of the mouse on a wrist pad/bump to better the wrist position when I'm mousing. Actually, this allows just my palm to rest on the mouse and my wrist is floating, not in contact with any surface to alleviate any pressure or friction injury relating to RSI or carpal tunnel. - The Logitech TrackMan trackball mice are well designed for ergonomic comfort and functionality, are precise and easy to use.
- The Logitech TrackMan may take some getting used to for those who have never used a trackball mouse before. Stick with it through the adjustment period and you will likely grow to love it.
- The Logitech TrackMan may help reduce wrist and arm pain that some people experience from daily use of "regular" mice, since the trackball design stabilizes the hand. I bought a TrackMan for my mom for this reason. Since she started using it a few months ago, her nagging wrist and elbow pain has disappeared.
- When the batteries run down on the cordless TrackMan, the mouse stops working with little to no notice.
- The cordless Trackman seems to prone to breakage for no apparent reason. I went through three (3) of them, each of which abruptly stopped working within three (3) months of purchase. I finally switched to the corded version (Logitech Trackman Wheel Optical), which has actually held up well for me so far. Its design is exactly the same as the cordless version, and it's about half the price. Mom is still happy with hers, too.

I have had this mouse for the last 8 years and it has worked flawlessly. It is not a power hog like a lot of the cordless mouses I have used and its range is awesome, it almost feels like it is bluetooth until you loose line of site. I am now only replacing it because after 8 year, many drops and much abuse it died because of a bath it took because of my cat. I am a freelance programmer and so I use my mouse more then the average user and it has held up.
I hope Logitech never stops making it!

Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel is comfortable for my hand and very easy to use once you get accustomed to it's ball feature. It's the only mouse I'll buy. My kids love it, too.
