Digital camera Review: Best trackball out there, though need for laser arises.

This is a really great trackball. I have used the original PS/2 version, then got a USB and now went wireless for work. Works quite well.
However, I think it's time for Logitech to create a similar one to use laser for better precision. At times it feels like the movement is not 100% accurate (as if there is a slight lag in movement). Not really noticeable though unless you have used a laser mouse before (very smooth movement).
This is definitely a lot more comfortable than most trackballs I have used.

My old review is below and I still think the ergonomics are great with this tracball. HOWEVER in the last 6 months I have gone through 2 controllers. I have 2 wireless tracballs and 2 broken controllers. I am sorry but there is no excuse for electronics without moving parts to be so fragile. Until logitech builds durability into the controllers, STAY CLEAR OF THESE UNITS and get a corded one.
Real shame, these are very wrist friendly designs but 2 breaking without any damage is wrong. Fool me once shame on you, twice is on me.
Some have complained that the control part of the wireless mouse that plugs into the USB is too big. I velcroed it to the lid of my laptop and also can stick the wireless trackball unit itself to the velcro on the lid also. That taken care of, this is one excellent ergonomic trackball. Having it now wireless is only that much better.
Best trackball/mouse for ergonomics but so far not as durable as it should be.
I will try a second one and report back on that one as well

I have my computer desk cluttered with papers, coffee cups, pens, etc and have limited space. This stationery mouse eliminates the constant aggravation of moving the traditional mouse on its "pad" and banging it on the desk everytime the cursor finds its way off the screen and I can only reclaim it with a quick bang making it reappear on the screen. I quickly got use to the thumb "ball" although it sticks at times (it freely floats, but if I'm doing very detailed work and want to highlight perhaps just one letter in a sentence the ball tends to slightly "stick" and after gently applying the needed pressure to move it, it jumps too far and has to be done over again). My main reason for getting this wireless mouse was the limited space on my desk and not wanting to continually be moving the mouse in a cramped area. Very good once you dial in the speed & acceleration settings. Expect a physical learning curve too. If you're shaky it will be frustrating. My only lasting concern is battery life; it's already killed one Duracell in less than a month.Digital camera Review: Blasts through batteries

I love the comfort of this device, but it went through batteries like there was no tomorrow. I've stopped using it and I'm buying the same model in a corded version.
