Digital camera reviews of Logitech FreePulse Wireless HeadphonesDigital camera Review: ??299.00??? Is Amazon Crazy? Summary: 4 Stars
I bought mine over a year ago for under $100 new at Bestbuy. Why is the same model $299 at Amazon? If you do a quick search on Google "NO ONE" is selling this product for over $200. And it can easily be found for under $100.
Now for the review.
I've had mine for over one year with almost no problems. The bluetooth works great. I was recently painting some rooms in the house and left my mp3 player by the front door and was working 2 rooms away without any issues.
What I think is the biggest benefit for these headphones is the bluetooth transmitter that is included. I've used them in the following electronics: TV, computer, mp3 player, PSP, stereo and portable satellite radio. I also like the fact that it doesn't have a microphone with it. I'm not using these to communicate. I only want to listen to music and movies.
2 problems. The first issue that I have had is after awhile the headphones start to hurt my ears. Not the sound, but the pressure against my ear. I'm just not used to this type of headphone or is could be that my ears just stick out too much :-)
The other problem that I've had is a wire in the plug must be alittle loose. Sometimes the sound only comes out of one side until I wiggle the plug a bit. After it's fine.
PLEASE LOGITECH LISTEN: Great idea, just use the same concept and come out with some DJ style headphones.

This is an awkward, difficult product...uncomfortable to wear; troublesome to synch up; clumsy to operate. It's over-priced, ill-conceived and definitely not worth the aggravation.

I have had this for a week and have found that it works as advertised. The best part is that it comes with a small adapter (bluetooth transmitter) that plugs into 3.5 mm audio jack of any music player (MP3, home stereo, etc). The Philips bluetooth headphones do not come with an adapter, and cost as much or more. The headphones and the adapter communicate very well and easy to "connect." The main complaint from others who have used this product seems to be the uncomfortable fit. I thought the same way at first, but after repositioning the "soft-touch" ring (the rubber ring to go around the ear), the fit was much better and I can easily wear it more than an hour. I have a big head and larger-than-average ears, so if it fits me, it should fit anyone. I think the key is repositioning the rings -- take them out and put them back in after rotating a little. My only complaint is that the over-the-ear phones create wind noise when I am riding a bike, causing me to crank up the volume, which is easy to do with this product. So far, the lithium-ion batteries are holding up very well, lasting about 4 hours. The first couple of charges did not last as long but now they are much better.
Digital camera Review: A step up, but not perfect. Summary: 4 Stars
I previously purchased the original Logitech bluetooth headphones, which, when taken care of properly, served me pretty well. I know there was a lot of discussion about them breaking and being awkward/uncomfortable, and I think with this Freepulse set, Logitech has taken a big step in the right direction.
Comfort-wise, I find these to be a lot better. I prefer behind-the-neck, over-the-ear headphones. I am able to wear these to the gym, and while running or lying on a bench, they do not get in the way. Unlike version 1.0, they are a lot smaller and do not make my ears ache after several hours of use. Also, I don't feel like as much of a dork with these giant headphones on as I did with my previous set.
I wish they had made the bluetooth transmitter a bit smaller...it adds a lot of height to my MP3 players (SanDisk Sansa). It seems like the previous transmitter was shorter. I may have to attempt using the old one with this new pair. Still, the size of the transmitter doesn't bother me all that much. It might be a problem if you wear your player on an armband.
This pair feels a lot more sturdy. As in, infinitely better. The neckband is made of a soft plastic as opposed to the hardened plastic on the first version. Feels like it will take some abuse. No problems so far.
As for the sound...if you're not expecting audiophile quality, you'll be ok. I wish there was a way to control bass, but there doesn't appear to be. The sound is good enough for what I intend to do with them: wear them at the gym or work. I didn't notice any problem with volume..they are always loud enough.
If you're looking for a cheap pair of wireless headphones to use at the gym or work, and you're not hyper-sensitive to sound quality, these headphones are a good choice for you. Especially if you can get a good deal ($50 or under) on them. Logitech still has not come out with a 5 star product yet, but hopefully version 3.0 will be that product.
Digital camera Review: ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! Summary: 1 Stars
I have purchased many products from Logitech. This one is "over the top, garbage." I am a very Techie person and do not usually need manuals. DO NOT BUY! Out of the box, the manual was written on a different planet than the product! Spent 1 hour on the phone with Tech support with Cookie (he tried hard) and determined that it was defective. It is so shocking that the manual and the actual product differ by such a degree. Very disappointed with Logitech. They should absolutely pull this one from the market.
