Pros: Works for many thousands of different devices, nice LCD screen, slim and light but not too small, very user-friendly software, lots of bells and whistles!
Cons: It doesn't work on its own with a Playstation 3, due to the PS3 using Bluetooth. You can buy a Logitech-brand "Harmony Adapter for Playstation 3" that should work (I haven't used it, but I've seen it around), and I've also heard that getting the "Nyko Blu Wave" PS3 remote and using the USB dongle that comes with that also works fine (and is much cheaper than the $60 Harmony Adapter).
This works with the XBox 360 though, don't worry about that! :)
So the only con is that you have to buy some sort of adapter or dongle to get it to work on PS3. But if you don't have a PS3, then nothing to worry about, right? :)
Other Thoughts: I've got this set up to work on my old Philips CRT TV, and it also works in my living room on my roommate's 42" plasma (I forget the make/model). Both use a DirecTV receiver for our TV signal, and it works great (we have the D11 model receiver, for that I got to use the cool feature of syncing the Harmony with the DTV remote, very intuitive!). I've also got it working with my Altec Lansing speaker dock for my Zune, and my HP dv6000 laptop. It works great on all these!
I'm so glad I got this when it was $30 and free shipping! And I just happened to have a $10 coupon code, so I got it for $20 and free shipping! What a steal!
I don't know about anyone else who bought the refurbished one, but mine didn't have the CD with the software. But that wasn't a problem, I just went on Logitech's site and downloaded the software in a minute or two and everything went great :)

THis device is far more capable than the description would indicate...it is fully capable of controlling MANY devices and is a breeze to program.
I use it to control an Onkyo home theater, a PS3 (via Nyko IR remote), Dish Network VIP 722 DVR, Roku Netflix player...all synchronized very well.
Definitely worth the money.

I have this running my cable box, TV, DVD, VCR, 300 disc CD player, and Receiver. It is fantastic. I can use them all with 1 remote, and all I do is hit, "Watch TV" or "Watch DVD" and the remote instantly goes into TV mode, turns the right equipment on and functions correctly. If it messes up, the help button fixes it. I even programmed some of the buttons to do different features for each so I can change sound settings and item specific settings. I also really like how the remote looks, it looks fancy.
The only drawback is that you have to plug it into the computer to change buttons, a little tedious but eventually you find what you like. I'd recommend this on advanced systems with a receiver or more equipment. If you just have a TV and a DVD player, I'd opt for a less expensive learing remote like the URC-WR7, I have that on my other TVs.

I had three devices that needed it's own remote to control. I didn't need it any longer after finding this Logitech Harmony 550 remote. I went to Logitech's website to make sure all the devices could be used. Sure enough, they could all be synced to this one controller. I then ordered it through Amazon, and received it in 3 days (or less, I forgot). The configuration was easy after installing the software on my PC and I was able to start using it within 15 minutes. A must have for anyone with 2 or more remotes!
