Digital camera reviews of Logitech Harmony 670 Universal RemoteDigital camera Review: A Must Have in Any Home Entertainment System Summary: 5 Stars
This was a Father's Day gift - it made watching TV/Movies so much more enjoyable for both my Mother and Father. Very easy to program and even eaiser to use. My family all have remotes from Logitech; I have the 880 and love it as well. Highly recommend this remote for anyone that has a home entertainment system.
My brother and I have referred to it as the "Marriage Saver".
Digital camera Review: A Solid Piece of Hardware w/ One Minor Flaw Summary: 4 Stars
I originally got this remote so that my father in law would be able to easily turn on and off our home theater setup (in-laws live with us). The web based configuration was a snap. The product is easy to use. Built in help leads you through any problems. My one complaint is that the buttons are small, which means my father-in-law still has difficulty with fat finger syndrome. This would be a perfect device if they made the buttons larger and crisped up the contrast for the LCD to help out those that our older so that us youngin's could buy them gifts.
Digital camera Review: A TRUE Universal remote Summary: 5 Stars
This was exactly what I was looking for. The ability to program it from the computer is very nice. Making tweaks, if it's not working exactly the way you intended, is very simple to do also. But the best feature is the action buttons and the way the remote behaves when in use: Just like a macro button on other Universal remotes -> You select "Watch TV" and it turns on the TV to Video 2(or appropriate input channel), turns on the DVR, & then turns on the Receiver to Video 1. But unlike older style remotes, once the devices are on, the channel up & down buttons control the DVR while the volume up & down buttons control the receiver. It works the same way for watching movies, etc. Hitting the "off" Button then turns off the receiver & TV (I have it programmed to leave the DVR on).
The display is a little small, some of the buttons are hard to read and close together, and the rechargable battery would have been nice - but I suspect that if I spent a little more, those features would have been included.
Digital camera Review: A great solution Summary: 5 Stars
The Harmony 670 has proved to be very functional and a solution to my problems of multiple controllers and frustrated users.
I thought it seemed a bit difficult to program for a real non-techie but not unreasonably so if you have any familiarity with computers at all. You MUST have an internet connedtion to get it set up.
The back-lit keys are wonderful. Once programmed, it seeps to be almost psychic in supplying the right fix when things get out of sync. I have used it for a month and a half and I have spare AAA cells on standby but so far I haven't needed them. I would buy it again and I have recommended it to my friends.
Digital camera Review: AWESOME!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this remote to control:
Samsung TV PN50B450B1D
Sony DVD DVP - NS 700H
Xbox 360
JBL On Stage 200id (ipod dock used for speakers)
I had one problem. I have a new Macbook Pro OS10.5 and the included disc had the old software for the remote. All I had to do was visit [...] and download the latest software which was 1/3 the size of that on the disc) and install.
The software was a breeze. I tested the remote with all devices and it works perfectly!! I am so happy. I am an even BIGGER fan of Logitech now.
Thanks!
