Digital camera Review: Serious design and software flaws

Let me walk you through what its like turning on my tv, and you can be the judge of whether harmony remotes simplify your life.
1) I press "Watch TV" on my remote. My amplifier was already on because i was listening to music earlier. The remote turns OFF my amplifier (no sound) and then turns on my TV
2) In order to fix this, you have to hit "Help", click yes through 20 questions such as the ambiguous, "attempting to solve the problem.. did that fix it?", "is your tv on?", and finally "is your amplifier on"?
3) After clicking "No" my amplifier i have to click through another "did that fix the problem?" screen, bringing my grand total of button clicks to six.
The software that lets you change your harmony settings all works through a form of "20 questions" which means that many IMPORTANT options are hidden behind troubleshooting pages that require you to choose non technical choices like (forgive my paraphrasing) "my device does not respond to my harmony remote", to then tweak the real hard settings that control how the remote transmits signals. Why they couldn't just give us access to configuration settings without going through this awful Q&A process is anybody's guess.
As someone who works designing intelligible user interfaces, the harmony software seems almost anachronistic. Might be okay for a product for windows 95, but certainly not in 2009.
Other problems include: device response lag for certain devices unfixable by setting tweaks. difficulty (impossibility) of effectively controlling multiple devices at the same time without IR interference or serious lag-time.
