Digital camera reviews of Logitech Harmony One Universal Remote with Color Touch ScreenDigital camera Review: After six months, I still love this remote... Summary: 5 Stars
As far as universal remotes go, the price of this one may deter a lot of prospective buyers. There are a couple of things to take into account before you let this terrific remote pass you by. First of all, it comes with it's own battery charging base, which will not only make the remote easier to find, it will save you money on having to buy batteries, or having to tape the battery cover to keep it from falling off the remote after a couple of years of use. This will most definitely be a remote that you own for a very long time. Logitech is constantly updating their product database and devices that are under a month old have already been loaded on to my remote and work perfectly. Setting up this remote is a breeze, and for those who have an intricate entertainment system set-up this remote will be be a valuable resource. The touchscreen feature simplifies the remote to the point that first time users will have no problem using it and the ability to tell the remote what devices operate what in terms of your entire system is a wonderful feature. The Amazon price makes this remote a wonderful bargain and I would highly recommend it for individuals who have a plethora of remotes. I have now safely stored almost ten remotes and do not plan on going back anytime soon.
Digital camera Review: Ah, finally got rid of the clutter! Summary: 5 Stars
I got rid of 4 remotes when I bought this Logitech universal remote. It was very easy to program. I am far from being a techy, but it took about 45 minutes of tweaking to get this thing to run the way I want it to. The big problem was my more than 10 year old digital cable box. But, it works perfectly now. And I got rid of probably the biggest and thick as a brick (not to mention UGLY) remote control of all time! I have a Samsung LCD TV, Samsung Blue Ray, Samsung home theater, and the very old Cable box. One remote runs all these devices flawlessly. I also like the way the remote looks. It's actually kinda pretty when it lights up and it's shiny just like all my Samsung products! I like the touch screen. Touch the function icon and the devices turn on in the proper order! No more pressing several buttons on several remotes just to watch tv in surround sound! It feels good in the hand. Very comfortable to use. I bought this from Amazon for $179.00, so it wasn't cheap. Although, I do see that the price has gone up to $199.00. There are much more expensive urc's out there. I don't think any of any those would be as nice and easy to use as this Harmony One.
Digital camera Review: All - in - one true solution Summary: 5 Stars
If you are looking for a serious solution to your complex setup this is it! The flexibility and options available with this remote are phenomenal. But be ware, this comes at a price... a rather complex setup and some difficulty in learning non-branded devices.
My harmony has reduced the chunk on my tv table from 5 remotes to one and furthermore has made the process of switching from watching cable box to DVD a walk in the park!
If you are looking for a serious solution, this is IT!
Digital camera Review: All I can say is "Wow!" Summary: 5 Stars
I wondered if this remote could really live up to the hype. Until last week when Amazon delivered this to me, I could not get by without three separate remotes to operate my TV, cable box and DVD player. The switching sequences were easy enough for me (though time consuming and tedious). But my wife had given up ever using the TV unless I would do it all for her.
The Harmony One arrived and I dutifully made a note of the models and makes of my equipment. After the software was installed (easily and without a glitch) on my iMac, it quickly located my equipment and asked me half a dozen questions about how I wanted to operate my two activities. (Watch a DVD and use the digital video recorder)
I took the remote downstairs and it operated all the things properly THE FIRST TIME. My thought was Wow!
I've been using this for four days, and here are my observations. Occasionally my equipment gets out of synch, with one component left running when all are supposed to be off ... or with the TV tuned to the incorrect input.
I am tremendously impressed with the "intelligence" of this remote to get me through these glitches without breaking a sweat or uttering even one bad word. I just push the "help" button and it seems to know exactly the yes-or-no questions that are relevant. I answer, it does something, then asks if that solved the problem. Every single time it has quickly figured out what needs to happen and then has made that happen.
I like the backlit keys. I like the feel of the remote. I like the looks of the remote. I like the way it instantly knows when it is being picked up. I like the sleek charging station that keeps this thing handy and fully charged.
Digital camera Review: All in one infra red remote control and a little bit more Summary: 5 Stars
My original electronic's remote control malfunction made me to look at a universal solution. I found it on Logitech's Harmony One with color touch screen. Now all my remote electronic devices are in control on a unique touch. And more, defining activities, like watching TV or programming DVD all equipment involved can be powered on at once and prepared for use. On the touch screen you customize and organize all special buttons that you need. One special note to the learning capability, where you can memorize commands of the original remote control. A web database gives access to hundred thousands of models and manufactures.
