Having an armoire that has doors on the front, this has made our entertainment center a pleasure to enjoy. my TV is far away from my Audio equipment, so I had to point the remote at the TV when using IR. I have a 10 second delay programmed for the TV to tune to the correct input, so I had to keep the remote pointed at the TV the whole time, or it wouldn't work properly. I've been using this extender for about 5 years and it has worked as advertised for basic devices such as DVD, receiver, etc. However add a PS3 and you'll need to add a PS3 adapter. I did that and then found out that the extender doesn't play well with any adapter and I get multiple key presses when I only pressed one. What a pain.
Of course with Logitech's pay support, it is cheaper to replace the extender with another brand than to fix this one.
Also note: to update the remote and extender, you have to attach the devices to your computer via USB, and be connected to their online software services. This makes it a huge pain for you if you have your extender set up in an inconvenient location, especially when you have to keep tweaking the settings to get it to work right.

OK, so before getting this product I was a little worried about how well it will integrate within my system.
The only challenge I faced with the device is that I hate to read directions (my own issue) and at first it was not clear why there are so many options.
Once I read the manual it all made sense. I threw the Extender in a closet behind a closed closet... didn't even use ANY of the emitters and it worked beautifully and VERY quickly.
Straightforward setup, responds well to my Harmony 1100 ... Created an excellent situation for us to hide all the equipment and use the remote from ANYWHERE in the house.
