Digital camera reviews of Logitech MOMO Force Feedback Racing WheelDigital camera Review: Great wheel with some minor flaws Summary: 4 Stars
Overall, this is a great wheel, one of the best for the PC without going to the very expensive 900 degree wheels.
Feel - the wheel feel is excellent and durable. This is my second one of these - my last was still in good condition after three years of reasonable use.
Feedback - the Momo has great feedback for most games. I personally wish it were a little stronger, but it is adjustable and feels good - not cheap, weak and 'plastic' like some other wheels out there.
Mounting - The mounting has been good for me - I have mounted on multiple surfaces including two 'race chairs', and never had any issues.
Downsides - The pedal feel is not so good. Also even this new one has the issue of mine from years ago - if you put full pressure down and then some sideways, this 'increases' the output of the pedals, and then you can't get 'full power' again unless you reset your game\wheel\settings. This is a design flaw in that the pedal can actually move sideways a little. I was surprised that this new wheel had the same problem of one a few years old. This can be dealt with though by adjusting your games or just making sure you don't push with side pressure - not a huge issue, just a pain sometimes.
Overall this is a good product, and out of those I have tried, the best in it's price range for actual feel and feedback.
Digital camera Review: Great wheel, minor issues Summary: 4 Stars
The wheel's FF and feel and overall quality are very good. It is extremely useful to have the option of paddle or stick shifter. I use my paddles to shift and the pull back on the shifter as the handbrake and push forward is clutch. I have also had the stick as shift and paddles as clutch and ebrake. Pedals and wheel are both very precise.
Of course, as with most people, I am having occasional trouble with the pedals. Mainly the brake 'sticking' on. This started after about 6months of heavy use and now at a year hasn't gotten much worse. Usually unplugging the pedals from the wheel and plugging it back in will fix the problem. We'll see if that will keep working.
Digital camera Review: Great! Summary: 5 Stars
I play the LFS by momo wheel,
it's really real, more than the logitech red one i used.
it's cheap, and good price by this level's joystick:)
Digital camera Review: How do I play GTR2 with MOMO? Summary: 3 Stars
I purchased the MOMO, Race 07, and GTR 2 for my son for Christmas. The steering wheel and pedals have been working really well since I downloaded Logitech's updated gaming software for XP, from their website. The real problem is with GTR2. The wheel and pedals work in Logitech Profiler, but only the steering wheel works in-game. I can see the steering turning, but when I depress the gas pedal nothing happens. Can anybody suggest a solution? [I tried the MOMO amd GTR2 on 2 computers, one running XP Home, the other VISTA].

Ok. I'm updating this review. I did absolutely nothing to the installation of the wheel today and it just worked for itself! Here's how it went: I had followed all of Logitech's instructions for installing the game out of the box and had the experience I described in the review above. Since my son couldn't use the wheel, I packed it up. A couple minutes ago, I decided to give it a go again. I plugged in the USB connector, my computer recognised it,I started GTR2 and went to the control panel. Hoping beyond hope, I stepped on the pedals. Before, the accelerator and brake pedals simply never responded. Today, a bar appeared and extended when I accelerated, but both the brakes and gas were the same pedal. I went into the advanced tab, clicked on accelerate with my mouse, stepped on the gas pedal thereby assigning the right pedal only to accelerate. I did the same for the brakes.
All in all, the steering wheel and pedals work superbly. It definitely beats "driving" with the keyboard and deserves a 5.
My rating has only gone to a 4, however, because of the FRUSTRATION I experienced in setting up the product. I wish manufacturers would give more detailed and sensible instructions for using their products. Thumbs up to Logitech for a good product. Two thumbs down to them for awful documentation.
PS
You might want to cancel or tone down the force feedback effect on your steering wheel, as I did, if your kid is a bit young.
Digital camera Review: I LOVE MOMO Summary: 4 Stars
I'm not much for writing reviews. All I know is that this thing rocks. The construction is surprisingly solid for all the plastic. With the force feedback you really have to fight to get your car to do what you want... pretty realistic. I thought I would've broken it trying to steer against a skid. If you're a fan of racing games or just have a real passion for driving, get this now. It's the closest I can get to driving any of those fancy cars in the games.
