Digital camera reviews of Logitech MX3200 Cordless Desktop Laser (Black)

Digital camera Review: Almost great.... but still darn good
Summary: 4 Stars

This keyboard and mouse set from Logitech continues my string of input devices from this company; I have never been let down yet. The keyboard has quite possibly the best feel of any I've ever typed on, I just hope that feel lasts (and so far it seems rock solid). The plethora of extra keys will suit those who use dedicated keys nicely, for those who don't they hardly intrude. The F1-F12 keys are placed a bit differently to accommodate the LCD/Multimedia keys section in the center. The LCD itself is moderately functional, without a backlight the display can be less than easy to read. Display of time/date, a programmable timer, key press count (I'm at over 300,000 aready) and more uses for it are included. The multimedia keys can be hit or miss on their usability for the Linux users, many aren't mapped to any input according to xev; most likely they will require a driver to access.

The mouse, well, its a decent mouse. Laser is nice and that should really help the battery life, not to mention the precision. The Mouse feels light and somewhat cheap by comparison to the very solid keyboard. It works well enough, I've got to recommend the Logitech MX Revolution though, I use this daily and it is an amazing device.

Overall this decently priced set is a solid choice. I'm quite happy with my purchase and I can be somewhat picky about my input devices.

Digital camera Review: Amazing!
Summary: 5 Stars

This keyboard is awesome!!! It integrates perfectly with Windows Vista, and does more than any keyboard I've ever had. The fact that it's wireless is a huge plus, and the keys are quiet when you're typing, too. I highly recommend this keyboard.

Digital camera Review: Average only
Summary: 3 Stars

With close to 200 reviews here, I will keep it short and to the point:

PROS:
- Very quiet operation, probably the quietest keyboard I've ever had
- Feels very comfortable to type with, keys have good resistance, not too easily depressed
- Tons of programmable keys
- Wireless operation working well, no delays
- Compact size
- Hefty weight (due to 4 AA batteries) keeps keyboard in place
- Love the contoured mouse

CONS:
- Lettering on the keys not very contrast-rich, hard to see in lower lighting conditions
- Symbols/lettering on some keys very small and therefore also hard to read
- Display not backlit, hard to read, tedious to program
- Size of keys underneath the display is very small
- Dynamic Search and Zoom function oddly placed, prone to be activated accidentally
- F keys spread out with a huge gap between F8 and F9, and not full size

SUMMARY:
Having used Logitech keyboards for years and having switched from the Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave Set to this one, I'd say that this keyboard is very good when it comes to comfort - the feel of the keys, the quiet operations, all this is great. But the practical issues with the low contrast of the lettering, the hard to see small keys, the budget display, etc. makes it difficult for me to love this keyboard.

To anyone considering this model, I'd recommend they go to their local store and check it out before deciding. Different people have different preferences and whether this keyboard works for an individual is best tested out in person. If this is not possible, I have uploaded a picture here (under customer images) to illustrate the contrast issues this keyboard has.

Digital camera Review: Avoid buying this and choose something else
Summary: 1 Stars

I purchased this last month thinking it was going to be a solid product from Logitech. It is GARBAGE. And for almost $100! I wanted a laser mouse for my photo editing. Well the mouse does not work well with Windows XP and it jumps all over the screen erratically rendering it completely useless. There is virtually nothing on their support site to fix the problem.

I would strongly recommend going with another keyboard and mouse.

Digital camera Review: Awesome!

These are quality products, work great, hook-up easily and allow so much more freedom! No cords to slow down movement; keyboard even displays date and time and many other options. I wouldn't go back to the old styles, ever.
