Digital camera reviews of Logitech Optical Notebook Mouse Plus (USB)

Digital camera Review: Good product
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this mouse because I wanted something simple, and it just works really well. I have like a month with it and I have no complains about its performance. The only thing that does not convince me is the cord wrapping. I'm getting the feeling that the cable will me damaged within a few months.

Digital camera Review: Good value
Summary: 4 Stars

Works well. Cord about 6in too short - fine for laptop. Click is a little loud.

Digital camera Review: Great Buy
Summary: 5 Stars

I use an iBook G4, and this mouse has been very helpful to me. It is easy to carry around, as the wire can be wrapped around the mouse to store it, and the USB plug snaps onto the bottom of the mouse so that it is kept safe. The mouse comes with no software and works as soon as you plug it. It is definitely worth the money to be able to use a right-click and roller.

Digital camera Review: Great Laptop Mouse
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this last summer to accompany my then-new laptop, not expecting much for the cheap price, and in fact anticipating (judging from an older review or two) that it would break down fairly soon.

Nothing of the sort. This mouse has taken a lot of falls and beatings and works as well as if it came out of the box.

It's rather small, especially if comparing it to my desktop MS IntelliMouse, but you can tell that from some of the user shots above. Those who are used to the big, 5-button mice, don't let this make you hesitant of buying a small 3-button one--your hand adapts very fast (indeed, the IntelliMouse starts to seem too heavy), and the absence of buttons can be made up for with mouse gestures (available, at least, in Opera). In return, you get a very portable and inexpensive mouse.

The one thing that could be better about it, and why I give it four stars, is that it the cord well at the base isn't very deep at all, and there's no locking mechanism for it (only for the actual USB plug, for when you disconnect the mouse). The cord will constantly unravel around it, and will cause annoyance when you move your mouse around. In other words, you will usually have to opt for having the cable extended the whole way and lying somewhere off to the side, rather than retracted into the base.

A great product beyond that, though.

Digital camera Review: Great Laptop Mouse, but...
Summary: 4 Stars

I love this mouse, and I use about 6 days a week for anywhere from 2 - 6 hours and it has worked great without any flaws for about 9 months until it stopped working on me yesterday. I guess I should've expected this because of all the use I put it through, but it just stinks to have to spend money on a new one.
This is why I'm giving it only 4 stars.
Anyway, lets focus on the positive. This is, I think, the best laptop mouse on the market. I love that it wraps up, and you don't have to worry that the cord is going to get tangled in the other stuff you have in your bag. It's also the right size. Not too small, but small enough to pack away. This mouse makes it so much easier to navigate your laptop. Nevertheless, if you use it as much as I do, be prepared to replace it in about 9 - 12 months.
