Digital camera reviews of Logitech Optical USB MouseDigital camera Review: A great, reliable mouse Summary: 5 Stars
This mouse is not very fancy, but for what I was willing to pay and for what I was looking for, it is perfect. I wanted to switch from a much fancier, more expensive mouse made by a very popular company and this mouse was a refreshing change. It doesn't have any annoying side-buttons that I accidentally press. The scrolling is smooth and I like that it includes the 360 scroller when you press the scroller. The 360 scroller is not as smooth when scrolling side to side, e.g.- on a spreadsheet, but most mouses are like that so it's fine with me. It's a great size for small to medium hands. With my other fancy, white, espensive mouse I was afraid to rest my hand on it because I would accidentally click something, but not with this mouse. I chose the wired mouse for better reliability after having had bad experiences with wireless mice. This mouse is simple yet reliable and it's cheap. You can't go wrong.
Digital camera Review: Amazing mouse Summary: 5 Stars
I was so happy that I had finally found a mouse that wasn't a lot of money, and was worth more than what I spent to get it. The package came right on time, and it was nicely sealed. It was a little hard to open but that makes up for it not getting damaged in the delivery. It worked as soon as I opened it, and is very responsive on many different surfaces, even my bedroom carpet. It has smooth feel, and fits my slightly large hands perfectly. It doesn't feel at all like it's a piece of plastic, and the scroll well isn't too tough to move that it would be annoying to scroll, nor too easy so that you would scroll too quickly. The only thing I don't like about this mouse is that if it is on a surface that changes level at all (a painted table for example) it is a little hard to control, but usually is perfectly fine. I'm very happy I bought this mouse!
Digital camera Review: Basic Optical Mouse with Good Feel and Touch Summary: 5 Stars
The Logitech Optical USB Mouse works as expected with a good fit and feel in the hand and nice touch on the buttons and scrolling wheel. The wheel also acts as a 3rd button for opening new tabs in Firefox and Internet Explorer. I have had no problems with this mouse and have several other Logitech mice on other machines that have proven to be very durable over many years.

Digital camera Review: Basic, Simple & Reliable Mouse Summary: 4 Stars
If you are in the market for a very basic mouse that is the true essence of plug and play then this is your best bet. There is no fancy shape, no special design, no extra buttons to program and no flashy lights with this logitech mouse. You just plug it in and use it. I've had one for about a year now connected to my desktop and it is still working like the first day of use, so I bought this second one for use with my new laptop.
It's very easy to clean the smooth black surface and functions as it should. As a photogapher / Designer / Gamer it works perfectly fine for my needs. Some may want a mouse with a little more weight as it is rather light. Gamers may want a more high end mouse, but honestly if you can play really well you don't need those overpriced mice. Though they do work very well for what they are intended once you have the money to spend.
For those with bigger hands it's just right in size. Some males and some females with smaller hands may prefer a smaller mouse. The same goes for those who want a smaller travel size mouse. those tend to be too small for my hands and I'm not a big guy.
I would recommend this mouse to anyone who just needs a reliable and simple mouse.
Digital camera Review: Be Careful when installing Summary: 3 Stars
If you sign on to windows using a password, DO NOT install the mouse per the instructions supplied with the computer. Why, because it will not recognize your mouse at the point it asks you to input your password.
Instead, with your system running, unplug your current mouse from the USB port and plug in the new logitech mouse. It should recognize it right away. I assume it loads the standard MS optical mouse driver, which works fine.
If you go to the website to download their driver, it isn't obvious which mouse is the right one. But after finding it, it also isn't obvious which software driver is the right one and there isn't any help to guide you. So, whatever driver it recognized when I plugged it in, works fine. Therefore, I abandoned the effort.
Summary.
Mouse works fine.
System software that recognized the mouse on plug-in seems to work fine.
Logitech software, I have no idea if it works as I have no idea on what to download.
Therefore, I rate it a 3 since the website for logitech is severely lacking as well as the instructions that came with the mouse.
Cheers
