Digital camera reviews of Logitech Premium Notebook Headset

Digital camera Review: Good Performance
Summary: 4 Stars

I've been looking for a portable headset for my frequent trips after my Plantronics 310 got retired with microphone problems, and found the Logitech Premium Notebook Headset a good choice. A quick review:

The Good:
- Excelent sound, both ways. I believe it's better than my previous Plantronics, a good reference.
- Quite lightweight, again better than my old one.
- The foldable design made it the best companion in my thin backpack.
- Quite comfortable to use.
- USB adapter has a flexible connector: excellent for small spaces.

The Bad:
- The USB adapter performance is fair, but not as good as my old Plantronics - I've been using it instead Logitech one.
- The box that comes with this headset is bulky, and in my opinion, useless. Looks like those Bose noise cancelling headphones, but for a light notebook headset?
- Angle adjustment of earphones got loose after couple of months of use (I use it daily). May be not a big deal, but feels like broken.

Final review: After a good overall performance, it's a true 4 star rating, and replaced (almost) completely my old one with some advantages: lightweight, compact foldable design, excellent headset performance.

Digital camera Review: Good for USB, Not for other connections
Summary: 3 Stars

Had to send these back. They sounded great when plugged into my USB port. But when I used the standard headphone plug, the sound was so quiet that I could not hear anything at all unless I maxed the volume. Would not work well at all with any MP3 player.

Update:
Because of a comment I received about this review, I feel I must state the obvious to clear things up. The problem was with the headset and not my computer. I have always used headphones with my laptop, but was searching for a compact solution for both music on the computer and Ipod and with Skype on the computer. These would work great with a computer but only when plugged into the USB port. I also tried them in an Ipod and another MP3 player and the volume levels were way, way too low. to be able to listen to any kind of music.

Digital camera Review: Good headset for communications
Summary: 4 Stars

This is an excellent headset for skype and IM's. It's OK for listening to music but bass and volume levels could be better. For skype and speech recognition, it is the best headset I've used to date and I feel the plastic case that comes with it is an absolute must. The case fits easily into one of the exterior soft pockets in my laptop bag, protecting the headset from damage. All in all, if you are looking for a headset for Inet chatting, this one fits the bill. I did not give it five stars as I think the speakers could have been set up better for listening to music.

Digital camera Review: Good quality product
Summary: 5 Stars

I would recommend this headset for anyone wanting to use VOIP. I use it for my VOIP and it works great. I wear glasses, and don't experience the difficulty that some people have with wearing this headset.

They are not the best music headset out there, but they will pass as mediocre. For the price, it is not bad.

Digital camera Review: Good sound quality
Summary: 4 Stars

This is s pretty good headset, especially for the price. Sound quality is very good. Negatives are: 1) the speaker doesn't work with the USB connection, only with the separate mic and speaker jacks (at least on my laptop, an IBM ThinkPad); 2) the ear pieces could use more padding - they become uncomfortable on long calls (e.g., 1 hour).
