Please, be aware of this problem before you buy this camera.
The camera works fine as long as you use it with just one application. However, as soon as you launch a second application that takes control of the camera, the image goes extremely dark. Logitech is aware of this issue but they claim in their forum that the product behaves like that by design. It makes no sense. The solution they offer is to unplug and plug the camera back in. This is unnacceptable. I'll return this product if they don't offer a viable solution when I call support on Monday.

Since Apple no longer makes its most excellent (but overpriced) iSight Firewire camera, this is the next best thing. I simply plugged mine in and began using it in less than a minute. The color and exposure are excellent.
The downside is the badly designed mounting bracket. Or is it a handle? It is impossible to use it to attach the camera to a modern flat panel monitor. It neither rests on it nor hangs from it. I removed mine and simply drape the QuickCam over the monitor by using the USB cable.

This product is not worth the price. A just-as-good or better product could be purchased at a much cheaper price.
The BTV PRO software is buggy and comes at an additional price that makes this webcam even less desirable and much more expensive!
I wouldn't recommend this product to anybody!
