Digital camera reviews of Logitech Rx1000 Scroll Tilt Laser MouseDigital camera Review: A mixed bag for me Summary: 3 Stars
I bought one of these for my home computer after using one at a co-workers house. I ended up picking up 12 more so my employees could use what I saw as a very good mouse for a good price.
As the title says, it came back with mixed reviews. First, on my part, the mouse is small. In most cases, my hand all but conceals the mouse below it. On the other hand, my wife and the female employees loved it. There wasn't much middle ground. I had 5 employees, all big enough men to work construction everyday, trade theirs in for their old bigger mouse. I too stopped using it. Two of the men said it didn't bother them and the women all kept theirs.
Problems I had with the mouse personally. The scroll tilt wheel doesn't always work and when it does work, for some reason it is flipped. If I tilt the wheel right on a .pdf file, the page scrolls left. If I tilt it left, the page scrolls right. Not really a big deal, but if it isn't comfortable to use and has problems doing what it says, it kind of becomes useless. I have a lot of .pdfs, blueprints and thought the tilt wheel would be a nice feature to have. And trust me, though I know it works opposite of what I tell it to do, I still on instincts want to tilt right for right scroll.
The accuracy of the cursor was good enough, but I have used better in the same price range. My hand/size problem could have made that a problem.
And the magnifier button no matter how many times I change it wants to be a back button. It wasn't worth the hassle for me to keep fooling with it, but I'll stick with a 3 since I can see that some of our employees seem to really like it.
