Digital camera Review: 10 dollar speaker - 10 dollar sound - speakers are small

Bought these to replace a dead set of speakers that came with an old Dell PC.
I have my main PC hooked up to Stereo system - and a second PC I just wanted sound to replace the OEM speakers that just died. Didn't want to spend much b/c sound quality was low on priority.
I settled on these because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I guess my expectations were higher than the product - and I was a bit disappointed in teh sound quality. My dell came with Harmon Kardin speakers that were twice as large as thes and sounded very much better in terms of quality. Probably why I was a bit disappointed.
I'd probably repurchase these for the same 10.00 for my intended use - just don't expect to be blown away by the sound. My 10 year old CRT television speakers sound better than these things.

I got these speakers for my Aspire-one netbook. They work great for listening to net radio stations, itunes and movies! I can't believe how simple they are to set up. This was my biggest worry with the net book as I dont have any drives. I cant use anything that needs a disk to install. Just plug into a wall-jack and then into the headphone jack on your computer. No disks, no nothing, they just work! Also you cant beat the price even though I found mine at wall-mart and didn't have to pay shipping... even better. ;)Digital camera Review: A PAIN!

Well, maybe some folks are giving these speakers good reviews, but let me state I use a mediocore emachines system. The computer works fine for me and gets the job done.
These speakers fall asleep within minutes. Its a PAIN, and I mean PAIN to get them working again.
You GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. PERIOD!
For what I paid for the speakers ( yeah, their cheap! ) I had already thrown away the box and reciept. So, thank goodness they ARE cheap.
Take it from me, dont invest in these speakers unless you are VERY low on cash. They are JUNK. Sound quality is "decent" when your looking at the price ( and if your television is on at just a normal level, and these speakers are at their max, good luck hearing them ) ..expect that. But the "falling asleep" every 10 minutes is a MAJOR pain!
Yeah, their cheap, and you will get CHEAP. Trust me!
I will GIVE these speakers to the first of my friends who needs a set of speakers..though I will warn them in advance to save a butt kicking later!

If you're looking for a cheap, decent sounding pair of PC speakers that won't take up a lot of room on your desk, then these are hard to beat. Sound quality is probably not adequate if you listen to a lot of music through your PC on a regular basis, but for normal day to day use (online videos, etc.) it is fine. These do exactly what you would want them to do. They provide a quality sound for the money. If you use your computer for watching youtube videos or home videos then this is perfect for you. And you can't beat the price. If you are indeed looking for high quality speakers to use to play music loud enough to hear it around your house, spring the money and get a high quality 2.1 system. These are perfect and priced perfectly if you just dont want to play sound from your desktop or monitor. Any other use would be illogical.
